Q: what is its operating voltage, 110V, 120V, 220V or 240V ?

My understanding is that it is 120V. I did check the specifications and it does confirm the 120V. I am not certain if they make this shredder in other voltage levels for sale outside of the USA. This unit gives you the option of using basket that comes with it or different basket.

Yes the the shredder does expand to fit a larger basket. I've had good luck with mine.

Mine is model AS800SD and it has an extendable arm that is adjustable to I believe 15". I had an extra large kitchen trashcan I wasn't using and put this sideways (front-to-back) across the top instead of left-to-right and it fits and works perfectly!! Of course I put the trash bag in the trashcan first so all I have to do is take off the shredder and take out the trash! No cleaning the basket/trashcan of all that paper dust and debris!
