DC Collectibles DC Comics Designer Series: Lee Bermejo Superman Action Figure

A few days before I spotted this figure in my local comic shop I was sitting alone, as I am sometimes known to do, thinking about how there really weren't any good Superman figures. There are a few that come close. I really liked the Dark Knight Returns version, but I think of that version as more of an 'Elseworlds' interpretation of Supes rather than a traditional version. Anyway, I spotted this guy in my comic shop and instantly fell in love. Why didn't I buy him? Because that version had some paint issues, the leg joint was messed up and his cape was a bit wonky (which I'm thinking explained why he was still sitting on a shelf).The one I ordered on Amazon thankfully had mostly none of that. Leg hinges fine. No paint issues. Wonderfully shaded in fact. Never seen a standard action figure with this quality of paint job before. The only (very minor) issue is they for some reason his cape slightly looks like it's coming out of his chest rather than his shirt. Nothing a dab of superglue won't fix. I bought this along with the companion Batman figure. They look great together.

This is one of the best figures of Superman. Great 'golden age' color scheme with nicely detailed costume and cape.At $20 or so, it's also about $7-$10 cheaper than you can expect to pay at your local comic shop

Leg damage

This is my most favorite classic superman figure! I like how they painted it with all the wash and shadings. Articulation is limited so it's ideal to just let him stand. There are slight imperfection in my figure's face but I think I can make a way to clean it. The cape is sculpted flowy. It looks really cool and effective. It comes with alternative hands with some wash to it too. It's a 7" figure and there's some weight to it but can deffinitely stand on its own. I think they should also paint his lips a little bit din't you think?

The picture doesn't come close to how beautifulThis guy is. The musculature, the proportions are spot on, and the colors are fantastic... that said, I am a big old kid who must take my Superman out of the box and pose him.. the articulation is good, a little unusual, but to play with him is kryptonite to his paint...don't buy him for a REAL kid who intends to play with him. Paint will chip easily..

This is a great looking figure... but a bad figure altogether. The first one I ordered had a cape that wasn’t glued in and a leg that wasn’t attached. The second I ordered had the same issue with the leg. Maybe it’s ordering through Hubbub on Prime, but it’s a disappointment to have to return such a good looking and decently articulated figure.

The figure itself is great, but when I received it I was missing the right alternative hand. I thought maybe the hand fell from the package and it was loose in the box...Nope! It just wasn't in the package at all! You would think when shipping this out the person boxing the package would at least glance at the figure to make sure it was all there! It's disappointing but at this price point the figure does have great paint detail. I do recommend it as long as you get all of it.

A great figure and great mobility. I always love the iconic Superman look and this has it all in spades. Very detailed! Also, having the multiple hand options is awesome as well!
