I purchased a couple of Lenovo G50 laptops a few years ago. Hadn't used them much until the Covid thing hit and we needed to use one for distance learning. My daughter was complaining about slow performance. I looked closer and found that the laptop only had 4 GB ram (bare minimum for Windows 10 64 bit). I ended up buying exactly the same brand, speed, etc. in this case as research suggested this gives the highest probability of a successful upgrade. Item was received ahead of schedule (2 days total). It took about five minutes to install. (Note there was a YouTube video on this model that made it easier to understand as the process is a little different than desktop memory). Unit now has 8GB RAM and is running much better. For $15 this was a very cost effective upgrade. TIP: If you have only one module right now and two slots like the Lenovo, the module may go in LABEL DOWN unlike the module already installed. The gold connector pins face each other. Lay the module in at a 45 degree angle and then push gently until you hear a "click". In this case the 4 chips on the back of the module face up toward you.

This is a pretty straightforward product. Unless it arrives DOA, then it's exactly what it says it is. It's a stick of ram that will increase how much ram your laptop has. I put it in a laptop, booted it up, and there it was. I don't know what more to say about that!

Worked great right off the bat. Haven't tested memry speed, but just works fine.

Exactly the same as the existing DDR3 SODIMM in slot 1 of my laptop. The hard part was getting into the laptop to access the DIMM slots, but once I was inside, the rest was simple plug 'n' play. It doubled my laptop's RAM and, as expected, greatly improved the performance.

I found only one useless video on youtube to help with installation. A commenter provided the only real help. After removing all the screws that hold the bottom cover on, detach the battery and pry off the cover. Place the memory module into socket at about a 30 to 45 degree angle, relative to the motherboard. Press downward, keeping slight horizontal force to keep the pins in the slot. The locking tabs will open briefly and then snap closed to hold the module in place. It won't go in if you simply try to slide it horizontally.
