Very pleased with this purchase
Bought for a trip to NYC. It was the perfect size. Made well. I will get years of use out of this.

Discouraged Pickpockets
Great way to discourage pickpockets when traveling. Worked great. We ran into 5 pickpockets on the Rome metro! Be aware of your surroundings. One was arrested. We ran off 2 and got away from other 2. They didn’t steal anything from us.

Really liked this
Used for my trip to Italy. It was comfortable to wear and help my belongings perfectly. I don't know if anyone tried to pickpocket me or not...but nothing was stolenDo as far as I can tell, it worked.

No regrets, best buy for traveling.
Hubby & I both have one of these backpacks. Have used them 6-8 times a year since 2021. They fit right under the seat and hold a lot of stuff.

Nice but could be even better
First, I paid a premium price for the tan, my choice but still feels like a rip-off. The backpack is well made. I haven't used it yet but on inspection it looks sturdy, roomy and useful. I like the smaller size, so many backpacks are way too big - and consequently too heavy when filled. It would be even better if it had the strap across the back to secure it to luggage handles, a small thing that can make a big difference at the airport. I also would have liked a zippered pocket on the inside, especially since this smaller size is going to be favored by women. And the straps are way too long...I know, some people are really, really tall but I'm not sure what I'm going to do with all the extra strap hanging down. Despite these shortcomings I am keeping it, mainly because I like the size and sturdiness.

Comparison of Travelsafe classic, Pacsafe Stylesafe, and Pacsafe Metrosafe L350
I am hoping to do a good bit of traveling in the future, and decided I wanted to invest in a nice daypack. I was looking for one with anti-theft features, that would fit under an airline seat, and be comfortable to wear. I was not looking for something that would hold a weekend’s worth of clothes, and was not interested in bigger backpacks. I couldn’t decide based on reviews, and ended up ordering Travelon Anti-theft classic backpack – 11 liters - $65, Pacsafe – Style safe 12 liter Anti-theft Backpack - $119, and Pacsafe Metrosafe L5350 15 liter Anti-theft daypack/backpack - $100The Pacsafe bags have the turn and lock feature where you can lock a strap around a chair or other object. All three bags had a light gray interior. There are plenty of in-depth reviews of these bags, so I am including photos and my key takeawaysMetrosafe L350ProsStyle would work for man or womenTurn and lock featureBigger – if that is what you needConsThe carabiner lock device for the main compartment zipper was made of plastic. It seemed flimsy to me compared to the rest of the bag. It is a lock you would use all the time and I just don’t see it holding up for years.TravelonProsStylishMini flashlight attached to key holder to view contents when you are in a dark areaOne side pocket zips closd to hide umbrella or other itemAlmost half the price of PacsafeConsNo turn and lock featureStylesafeProsStylishTurn and lock featureOpening to main compartment is against your back while wearing the bag. Most comfortable (to me)ConsTablet would not fit into sleeve while it was in it's casePriceI actually liked the feel of the material and the fit of the Stylesafe the best, and I really wanted the turn and lock feature. However, the fact it would not fit my tablet in it’s case was a huge drawback. The Travelon was a close second for me in fit and material. It also felt roomier than the Stylesafe. At almost half the price of the Stylesafe, it is hard not to recommend this bag. The attached mini flashlight, zippered side pocket, and configuration of the interior pockets won me over. This is the bag I kept, despite it not having the turn and lock feature that I really wanted.Either the Pacsafe Stylesafe or Travelon classic would make excellent day packs. They are not meant to be a weekend bag. Metrosafe has plenty of excellent reviews. It was a little bigger than what I was planning to use it for, and I could not get over the plastic clipBottom line – These all seem to be well made secure bags so choose what meets your needs and personal preference.

10+ Year Review - Extremely Durable, Right-sized, Practical (small) Backpack for Travel
I have had this backpack for over 10 years now (almost 11 years!) and it has held up remarkably well. I have traveled all over the world with it, including Afghanistan and Ukraine, and it is my go-to carry-on for the plane (fits easily under the seat). It’s large enough to hold a large iPad and plenty of other items for travel (portable power banks, charging cables, snacks, small books, and so on), including a water bottle on the side (and an additional water bottle in a second, zippered pocket). There is a nice interior pocket in the closing flap that I use for small electronics/airpods, flashlight, etc. The front pocket is very useful for smaller items. What has impressed me the most is that after more than a decade, it has really held up. I’ve overloaded it at times and used to often for travel, and yet it feels as good as it did new. No problems. Other bags I have had have suffered tears (particularly the straps) or rips over time. This one hasn’t had any issues at all.I prefer to buy once and keep something forever. That is what drove me to write this review - my satisfaction with a product that has gone the distance, and more.I have never had to test the anti-theft mechanisms built-in to the bag, thankfully, but in questionable areas, it is my go-to backpack with the two-handed pockets (zipper mechanisms), mesh, and interior cables. While this backpack is great for traveling (i.e., it fits under an airline seat and is fairly light and right-sized for city touring), it is not a full-sized backpack so if you are going camping or need to stow a lot of gear, you will probably need to look elsewhere. It works really well for day travel, though.
