Almost perfect
This is a well-made lap desk (with one exception that I will mention later), it's very sturdy, as plenty of spread-out room (and I am a large person) and for the most part was well thought out. The sturdy part comes into play because I have a big male cat that thinks this lap desk is his personal bed. I don't worry about it breaking with him (he weighs a good 12 to 15 pounds). The only thing I have against this product is the drawer. It's useless. nothing fits in it (pen, small tv remote) and it doesn't stay closed when you are through with the desk so anything you put in it falls out. It was a nice thought but is totally useless. And it broke the second day I used the desk (I had it open trying to see if the remote would fit and the cat used the open drawer as a step). I am not going to knock off any stars for the drawer. But if the company ever decided to do a redesign, they need to either ditch the drawer or make it big enough to fit a tv remote and a way to latch the drawer to keep it closed. All that being said, I am really happy with this lap desk, and I used it nearly every day.

Just perfect
I drove myself a little nutty reading up on the different versions, sizes and features available for these lap desks. I couldn't be more pleased with my choice. It is sturdy and well made, but not bulky or awkward to use. It is smooth and has a nice look about it. The legs just pull out and fold in. I tried adjusting the height of the legs which was so easy. To fold it back flush, you ease the legs back in to starting position. But then I realized that the height (not adjusted) allows plenty of space and I don't need to adjust it. I am an average size female, medium build and there is plenty of room under the tray when it is sitting over my legs. I like the little drawer and keep the detachable rim in there when I don't need it. And for my recovery from a surgical procedure, it worked just great. It folds nicely and I keep it next to my bed, by my night table. Wonderful product!

Almost Perfect large smooth top bed table!
Update: less than a month and the glued joints of the bamboo on the tabletop are popping and seperating, making the surface uneven, with small grooves in several places, with splinters. I do live in a dry climate so undersand that over time wood can crack if not oiled , but this began to seperate within days of receiving it. Very dissapointed.Love that the smooth bamboo top has no built up edges. It's perfect for usings as a writing and drawing surface, as well as holding a laptop. The design I bought has no drawer ( don't want one) and can be raised and set at about 13inches + high. It is a stable simple table. Very handsome design. I like bamboo products.

Helped avoid back pain
I like to read and work on my computer and iPad in bed and on the floor and this has been so helpful for my back. The quality has been great, I love the adjustable height, stability has been great, even sitting on a bed. Definitely worth it if you don’t want to sit at a desk but don’t want your back to hurt

Love it.
Cracks on the table, quality doesn't seem to be great.

Perfect size and super sturdy. Also looks quite nice.
The lap desk is just perfect for me chillin in bed playing my 16” laptop. The tray with the laptop is just the right width and that part lifts up to make looking at the screen much easier on my neck. I did use a dremel tool to route out part of the plastic cable pass through to allow my laptop power cable enough clearance. I added foam to the part that catches the laptop lip too just to prevent potential scratches on my chassis. The table itself is great and of sturdy make. It’s much better than I expected and feels to be of good strong quality. The joints move well. It’s a great 16” and under laptop in-bed gaming desk. The little drawer comes in handy for cables. I was just pleased enough with this table for the price that I figured it nice to let people know. Cheers!

Keep On Looking
This is my 5th "lapdesk" living in a van, following an untimely accident in the same van. With my neck under constant whiplash strain – I'm hyperaware of the micro adjustments the neck is continously making, for any focal point that doesn't rest ergonomically, at eye level. Through every attempt but one, the neck has continued micro–inching forward, until you discover yourself slouching again, after several micro adjustments you may not have realized happened. While this desk is built with an incline and can, in theory, meet the ergonomic demands of a healthy neck posture, allowing the screen to rest at true eye level ...The compromise is EVEN WORSE. The wrists and elbows have ABSOLUTELY NOWHERE to go ...They're simply suspended in space at extremely strenuous angles, with no support of any kind. You would literally need a second desk, at half the depth placed just before this one, just to wrest the arms and elbows, which get fatigued within an hour, and subsequent 5–10–15 minute intervals. But even this would not solve the angle the wrists are forced to make at the inclined positions of this desk. You can try pillows, but it's not a permanent solution. Pillows continue to depress, and your arms and wrists are struggling to meet the shape of the desk – if you're using it to eliminate eye / neck strain. If you simply leave the desk flush, at the highest height of its legs, without inclining it ...Then nothing has been accomplished in the way of posture, or healthy neck movement and eye alignment. I'm 5'6" and the screen continues to be a generous 8–9 inches below eye level. Assuming that because your eyes move downward, your neck is fine, is an illusion. It's not – A screen needs to rest at eye level with the head naturally atop the neck and looking straight forward. AFTER THAT, the wrists need to remain in a safe, ergonomic position, with elbow rests ...Or you've simply moved the strain in the neck outwards to both shoulders, and added extreme wrist stress, to try and meet the incline of this desk. It's a nice offering, but a very fallible design your elbows and wrists will not be able to accommodate. And none of the other bamboo desks are going to be any better. As soon as those wrists are forced to incline, and the elbows are suspended in space, your body will begin to hate you all over again. Since this is my FIFTH try, I have gone back to the drawing board again, and will be trying a gaming pillow desk, that curls around the body for ample elbow/arm wrest, with space to work in front of you. I'm going to pair that with a simple cheap laptop riser ($5-10) and an external keyboard. In theory, you could also get a simple laptop riser, and an external keyboard for this one ...but you still have arms floating in space without support. Finally, the desk came with a notecard asking to please contact after sales with any problems, before contacting amazon. To be polite, I contacted them and let them know I would be returning the desk (I don't have an extra $55 dollars, or extra space in my van). And I was met with a response asking why I needed to return it if all the dimensions and features of the desk were listed online – then asking if I could accept half the credit for the desk. According to their story, they "can't resell the desk" if it's returned. I don't think this is true – I buy used all the time from amazon.

Slots too small for phone & tablet with case.
Very difficult to get drawer open -No pull or knob. Phone / Tablet in case won't fit slots provided. It's well constructed and solid but doesn't satisfy my needs.
