International Caravan Furniture Piece 42-Inch Rattan Papasan Chair with Solid Twill Cushion

I love my chair! I sat on my boyfriend's lap in the chair so it comfortably holds over 300 pounds :) the cushion is big and poofy, but you can still feel the wood beams under the cushion, which is why i rate it 4 stars. Absolutely worth it! I also wish there was a way to tie the cushion to the frame, but not a deal breaker lol

I was super excited to have a papasan chair again, and it looks like decent quality from the photos. Boy was I wrong! The wood on this chair is the equivalent of balsa wood with the equivalent strength of a straw. I have maybe sat in the chair 20-30 times and it already snapped in 3 places and actually flung a piece off. For $150 you would think you were buying quality, but apparently I was sorely mistaken. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere for a quality product, because you won't find it here. I also just want to clarify that I only weigh about 165lbs.

I like this chair and see myself keeping it for some time. However, the chair itself is flimsy. You will need several zip ties to attach the top part of the chair to the bottom or the chair will slip and lean every time you sit in it. When this happens the laquer on the chair also comes off a bit.Also, the cushion is extremely cheap. I have had it for only about 2 or 3 weeks and I can tell that this cushion is sinking in already and becoming less fluffy. I weigh about 150 lbs so I wasn’t expecting this to happen that fast. And cushion replacements for this kind of chair aren’t cheap.With some zip ties, and a new cushion eventually I hope that this chair lasts a long time. I don’t mind making a few adjustments to keep the chair in good shape but the cushion part is disappointing. I am going to hate simply throwing this away after 6 months. That is extremely wasteful and cheap stuff like this is contributing to our current climate crisis. I wouldn’t have minded paying a bit more for a cushion that would really last. This chair was expensive anyways.All of this being said, I am still somewhat happy with this chair. It’s comfy and a unique addition to my living space.

So i got this chair, and it arrived in a huge box, about half the height of a fridge. It was ridiculously well wrapped in cardboard and flat twine for a lack of a better term. It arrived undamaged, but took some time to unpack. The cushion was vaccuum sealed, and inflated upon opening. Once assembled, it looked almost exactly like the product picture shows, but with my room as a background. Sitting in this chair is surprisingly comfortable, as a papazan chair should be. It makes creaking sounds on occasion, as wood furniture should.
