DB Electrical SBO0230 Starter Compatible With/Replacement For 3.0L S60 2011-2015, S80 2008-2014, 3.2L 2007-2014, V70 2008-2010, 3.0L 3.2L XC60 2010-2015, 3.0L XC70 2009-2015, 3.2L 2008-2014

I installed a DB Electrical starter on my son's 2008 Volvo S60. I installed this one on my 2008 XC70. This was an easy install compared to my son's car. Old starter was original and starting to drag during starting. New starter spins the engine at a higher RPM.Update:. I installed the starter on a Sunday. The only reason I replaced the starter was the car had over 214K miles on the original starter and I thought the start speed was a little sluggish which I proved when this starter had much higher RPMs on the same 4 month old battery just after changing it out without any charging of the battery. 2 days later I went to drive the car. Dash lights flickered all kinds of relay clicking and my OBD2 Head up display said 10 volts. I drove my other car and came home removed the negative terminal and fully charged the battery. The starter must have a parasitic drain due to that was the only change and the car had no dead battery issues before. Battery has also held its full charge with no negative cable attached. I ordered another DB Electrical Starter to get it as fast as I can and I will return the 1st one. The DB product I installed years ago on my Sons car has done perfectly so I wanted to give the product another chance. I will update when I hopefully install the 2nd one after waiting until Saturday to get it. I am glad it is a relatively easy job to do.Update Number 2I installed the second starter. Let the car sit the same amount of time. Drove it today and it started very strong. The 1st new starter had to be the problem with draining the battery. No problem with that before that starter was installed and now no problem after it was removed and replaced with another DB Electrical starter. You can get a bad product in everything. I still like the brand. I do not like the fact that Amazon charged me $5.99 for a shipping label to return a defective product since I do not have a UPS store in my town.

We got flooded here in Fort Lauderdale recently. After driving through deep water my car wouldn't start. I took the starter apart and it was a mess. I ordered this the night it happened and it arrived today. Easy install and what a difference! It turns the engine over MUCH faster than before. I probably needed a starter a long time before the flood. My 2008 S80 had 95,000 miles on it and this replaced what was probably the original. Great value!

It fits, it starts, I'm nit stranded in random places.
