Beefunny Replacement 4 Button Smart Remote Car Key Shell Case Fob for Cadillac XLR, for Chevrolet Corvette M3N5WY7777A (ONLY A KEY SHELL)

The FOB didn't work for my 2009 C6 Corvette. The printed circuit board PCB wouldn't line up with the buttons. That's because the PCB on my old FOB has a corner dye cut (manufacturer cut at an angle) which is part of the alignment with the original rubber pad. The new rubber pad wouldn't keep my PCB lined up. The battery compartment metal contacts also didn't work well, the battery kept falling out. On my original FOB, the metal contacts are used not only for battery voltage to the PCB but also to retain the battery in the compartment. I also couldn't use my original key, it wouldn't lock into the new FOB, the uncut key that came with the new FOB shell seated just fine.I'm not going to worry about getting my $16 back, cost of a life lesson. Go buy an original GM OEM FOB to replace your broken one.

Good quality for the price but I did not like that the case size is larger than the original and something to do with how everything fits inside, I got the buttons to work but my 08 Corvette said 'Fob not detected' and didn't want to start. I really just wanted better looking buttons but since the cases are not the same it's not a simple task to swap parts between cases. And no logo option? c'mon man, I need to remember what fabulous car I'm driving. All in all, not a bad attempt, but I just won't use it. Thanks anyway.

My fobs are the four-button style (no remote start) and these cases fit super, saved me TWO HUNDRED bux PER FOB! Cadillac only sells the entire fob, requires programming, a small fortune. I had two *WORKING* fobs, only their brittle plastic cases were cracked and falling apart. With these Beefunny cases, I was able to simply take the 'guts' from my old busted fob cases and put those electronic guts into the new cases, including the mechanical keys for each. This even includes the mechanical key metal top piece AND a key blank, should you need one. I removed the tiny screw and removed the blank and replaced with my old key, so now the new shiny metal part of the enclosed key is shiny again!. These are a win-win, would recommend all day long. Note that if you do not have the working electronics from your fob, this item is of no use to replace the whole fob.

Good quality case for the $ to replace my cracked and falling apart OEM one. The replacement unit is about 1/4” longer than the OEM model so doesn’t fit inside a hard protective case - need a silicone cover to protect it since they stretch

Saw lots of reviews saying will not work for C6. There is a notch in the corner for alignment, thin and key will not fit.Thought, I would try before spending $125-170. To me it was worth the risk.I experienced none of this. Took some time to line up the circuit board. Had to adjust the positive side battery clip. In the end, it works just fine. It is lower quality than OEM and there is no logo. But for the back up key, it's just fine.Only 3 stars for the low quality plastic.
