I got the Pearl shade, as I'm quite pale. I wanted this foundation to smooth out my skin, and still look natural. I think it does achieve this, I think it still makes my skin look natural but the dark was under my eyes has depleted.The foundation is really lightweight, and non-sticky so my face feels soft and not tacky afterwards.I read reviews where people had difficulty applying it with a makeup brush, so I used a soft sponge and got a nice amount of coverage, and it's wasn't hard to apply either. It does take a few minutes to dryly, but this means its malleable, so I don't get peaches drying sooner than others.I have dry skin, bit this does not dry out and doesn't come off easily with touching my face before a set spray is used.All in all a great foundation for those who want natural, lightweight coverage. It's the best I've used, plus it smells really nice!

I decided to try this foundation again recently after running out of it a few years ago. I clearly just forgot how good it was. The foundation looks beautiful on the skin and you can keep layering and building the coverage up without it looking cakey or bringing out the texture of your skin. If anything it looks smoother the more you put on. I really like the shade range this foundation has as it seems to cater to a lot of different undertones. The shade “Pearl” is perfect for me. The perfect shade for people on the paler side. After setting with a finishing powder, my acne prone skin looked almost airbrushed and it lasted great throughout the day even without a primer. I personally like the smell, I’m not sure how to describe it but it’s not overpowering and it did not irritate my skin. The foundation didn’t seem to cause any acne. Overall, I’m a big fan of this foundation :)

This foundation is great for the price!! And the shade range is great. I am cool toned and very pale, and I got the shade swan. The first foundation I have tried that is pale enough and not too yellow/orange :)It applies fairly matte, definitely best to blend with a damp beauty blender rather than anything else. I used it with the elf prep + hydrate stick and I think if you’ve got normal/dry skin you’ll definitely need a moisturising primer like that.It covers well, I think it’s best to do a thin layer and then reapply in more pigmented areas such as breakouts/acne scars if you’re wanting an even base. This is definitely the most full coverage foundation I’ve used but it doesn’t look cakey at all. I also mixed in a drop of face oil into it after putting some on the back of my hand, this gives it a slightly glowing and more natural look which I personally prefer. It still lasted well all day using this method. After searching for a long time for a flawless foundation that was my very pale shade that did a flawless cover finish and didn't break the bank for daily use - I came across E.L.F. and I'm so glad I did because wow, girls you need to try this if you haven't already!!The coverage is great, the shade is consistent throughout the bottle and I absolutely love the bottle design it's very easy to grip on rushed mornings and the fact that it's cruelty free just makes this foundation at this price point amazing! Again if you haven't tried it please do!

It's actually quiet good. I have been using my NYX foundation for a long time and I still believe that's the one for me but I thought I would try something a bit cheaper because one has to save for the future etc, Then when I received Elf, I realised that it's just half the size the normal foundation but still good price. I saw that it is pretty well rated so I bought it. I tried it and I like it almost as much. It has a great coverage, looks nice,not too matte but not shiney either. It smells very nice. It's just slightly heaver than what I am used to but overall it's great
