RabMen's Microlight Down Jacket for Hiking, Climbing, and Skiing

Love the jacket, fitted around the mid section
The jacket replaces an older different brand with similar style (different brand was roughly 10 years old and the zipper eventually failed). The Rab is a nice, mid weight down jacket. Already worn it a couple of times in 30 degree / windy weather and have no complaints. Keeps me warm. It's not a heavy down jacket so unsure how it would do with temps in the low teens to zero, but it's great for what I want it for. Note that it has a "fitted" feel around the midsection which suits me fine, and it looks good for the same reason, but if tight mid section is a concern, you might size up. I am a medium in most shirts and ordered his in a medium as well, so I would call it true to size, with note about the mid section.

Excellent product, very warm, very light, perfect for cold climates
Purchased to use as a light evening jacked on a ski trip. Worked perfectly. Very lightweight, comes with a small stuff bag, easy to transport, and most importantly very warm! I also noticed that it was very breathable too. Wearing it at night at a ski resort as a main jacket, kept me warm outside, but didn't overheat me when i went into shops/bars etc - i didnt need to remove it etc. Very nice looking jacket!

Cozy
Fits a little big but very well made, warm and comfortable. Thin enough to wear all the time but just roomy enough for layers

WARNING: Zipper pull is on the LEFT side
I like this jacket for the way it looks and feels. The only problem I have with it is that the zipper pull is on the left side when wearing it. I just read that some men’s jackets manufactured by European companies like Rab put the zipper pulls on the left. Ok. But ALL of my other jackets have the zipper pulls on the right and my brain naturally defaults to that . Having the zipper on the left just feels weird to me. It’s a bit annoying.

Very comfortable and fitted
I bought this thinking of using it as a mid layer for cold winters (under a shell or an overcoat). I needed something that was comfortable, but also fitted close to the body, with enough room to add a base layer underneath. This jacket is PERFECT for that. The fit is amazing, not boxy, but enough to have a light fleece or sweater underneath. It is also very warm by itself (0 celcius, no problem), and the beluga color is very special. It is a little too technical for more formal occasions, but it can be worn without problems under a more classy shell. It is also very comfortable (my main issue with other jackets was with the back and armpits, but not problem with this jacket). The only thing that could make this better would be if you could pack it inside a pocket instead of a separate bag. Overall, I love my new Rab.

Very warm and great style! True to size i'm 6'2"about 175 34" waist so large is the size
Feels very light and warm. One think I always want to see in these reviews is a guide to the fit. I have about a 42" chest and am 6'2" or so and 175 lbs. If you were a bit heavier there is room for a bit of a gut in the large size even with a fleece under the jacket and your waist could be 36-38 and I think large would still be the size.

Unfortunately, it sheds feathers. Otherwise good.
Sheds feathers. Alot. Otherwise warm and very packable.

Outstanding Warm and lightweight down jacket
Beautifully designed and crafted lightweight down jacket. Very light, but warm and comfortable. This is my second RAB jacket, and the quality is consistent. I bought a size XL and it fits me nicely.
