I love reading mystical and magical books but I just can't get into this book

If you like the Rivers of London series then you will adore this. I couldn't put it down. Ultimately reading it in 3 days.

Good flow to the story, no unnecessary frills and padding to interrupt my concentration. I like that the story was completed yet we know there is more to come.

Another great story from a wonderfully imaginative and humorous English author. I can't wait to get stuck in too the next one

It was ok. Saw a lot of reviews saying it was funny and down a similar vein to Terry Pratchett but I didn't get that at all.

Headline says it all.However first tale took a while to get my head around but stuck with it and it drew me in.Series beckons but must be seen in it's own right, more intriguinghumour than Disc Worlds.On to book 2.

Not much description in characters or scenery, but that’s just what I enjoyed. The entire book is plot line and that’s rare! I will be checking out the rest in the series as this was easily read in 4-5 hours. 🥰🥰

A grittier Dresden like universe. Hope the author can keep up the quality work. Will be following Higgs’ work closely.Enjoy finding new authors.

This is a fabulous fantasy, with a wizard, and demons and a werewolf. The werewolf was an excellent character, and so was the wizard. The plot was interesting and I found I had to keep reading because I really wanted to know how the story ended. The book leads the reader into the next in the series, and I really want to know what happens to the werewolf, after he walks away, naked in the snow :(

This story has elements I like: magic, thrills, and mysteries. Characters are well made, not flat and dull. The plot moves along well.Ill definitely read the next book in the series.

Steve Higgs is such a great writer. This series Is the opposite of the Blue Moon series where there is nothing supernatural about anything. This is all about the supernatural. And it’s really good!
