Frost King FV516 Duct Insulation & Tape, 1 1/8" x 15 ft, White, Foot

This duct insulation is just what I needed. The wall in my garage had mildew on the surface caused by cold air in an uninsulated duct inside the wall. The only way to fix the problem without adding strips to the studs to make the wall thicker for proper insulation was a very thin insulation material. One roll covered the 3 sides of the duct that I could access, from floor to ceiling. Then I added spray foam to fill the rest of the channel. Tomorrow I will trim the excess foam and replace the drywall; then I will paint with anti-fungal primer.The insulation is easy to install. Sticks well to a clean dry duct, but can be pulled up and reapplied if necessary. I found it easiest to only enroll few feet more than I was applying at a time. I tried to avoid seems, and when they had to be a seam, I covered it with aluminum duct tape.The exposed duct is now only cool to the touch - no longer cold and no longer sweating with condensation from the hot and humid garage air.

The glue on the interior is not as good as I thought. I have used it for aluminum ducting and it didn't work, I had to use an aluminum tape to wrap it

Does exactly what I ewant it to do! Keeps the noise low and helps as an insulation on the floor and walls of my van!
