Oboz Men's Bozeman Low Leather Hiking Shoe

My husband is on his third pair of these shoes. He says that they look dressed up, but feel like a soft comfortable walking or tennis shoe. They are water and slip resistant and provide good support and traction. The suede stays looking nice for a long time.

Very comfortable and by far the best shoes for hiking, walking across the cobblestones of Europe or climbing in Galapagos. My most favorite shoe to date!

Great style and comfortable

I've been wanting this shoe for a while now; I've purchased many of the Oboz hiking boots and shoes and find the footwear very comfortable. I see what consumers are saying about the tongue floating and not being secured, also looking at the heal of the shoe, I can see wear that material would wear out quickly. I'm still very satisfied with the purchase and this is the first time I've seen them under a hundo.

I wanted to give these shoes a fair review now that I am about to throw them away and move on to a new pair of the same shoe.First off, I gave these shoes a 5 star, but they are NOT perfect shoes. But the pros seriously outweigh the cons. and the cons are an easy fix.The pictures are of the shoes after they are basically worn out. I can get a few more months out of them but the comfort is gone and they are falling apart.I wore these shoes 5 to 6 days a week 10 hours a day on a construction job site since the day I bought them. I have been wearing them for exactly 3 years!! I have always worn DC skate shoes or other work tennis shoes like Merrill and Chinook. I have never had a shoe last more than 1 year until I bought these Oboz.The Pros:* Lasted 3 years* Comfortable right out of the box* True to size* Super durable rubber sole* A nice looking, stylish, sleek shoeThe Cons:* The heels on the inside of the shoes started wearing out within 8 to 10 months. You can see how blown out they are in the picture. the composite heel cap started breaking down and chipping away after about 1 1/2 years. I wore them with blown out heels for the past 1 1/2 years with little issues.THE FIX: Self adhesive heel protectors will stop the wear on the heel fabric of the inside of theshoe, but does not sacrifice comfort.* Arch support was a little high.THE FIX: Replaced insoles with Timberland anti fatigue insoles.* The tongue falls to the outside of the shoe.THE FIX: A lot of shoes do this, I drill a small hole in the tongue and run a small zip tie thru thetongue and the lace hole to keep the tongue from slipping

These shoes would have been the 3rd time my husband purchased them. The 1st two pairs were purchased at a brick and mortar store. When that store didn’t carry them anymore we turned to Amazon. Upon trying this pair on my husband found them to be too short. We then compared them to an old pair and indeed they were a quarter to one half inch shorter so we returned them. Customer service was great but lesson learned about purchasing them online.

These feel like they were made specifically for me. Everyone’s feet are different, and maybe these won’t fit you the same way, but the size 11 men’s is more or less the perfect shoe for me. I don’t have a particularly hard time finding shoes, but nothing has ever seemed to fit quite as perfectly as these do. For reference, I don’t shop for wide or narrow shoes.They seem to be fairly warm in the winter too. As warm as a good pair of low top shoes can be without approaching full boot territory. These shoes are a perfect balance between everyday sneaker and hiking shoe. I do not recommend them for bad trail conditions.I will be buying a second pair in another color very soon.
