Fits Beretta 96A1 Rail Model
This WILL fit a full size .40S&W Rail model 96A1...with the following procedure. Take note this is a stiff holster and breaking it in will leave slight finish blemishes. I hope you use your weapon as such and not a display piece. The blemishes are very faint and I rubbed most of mine out with just my finger.Place the weapon without a magazine and with a clear chamber into the holster. Loosen the retaining screw a good bit. The holster is molded and leaves very small ABS residue from the mold. As you take the frame in and out a few times with a SNAPPING FORCE (the bag it comes in says a slow motion will NOT work)...note where the rub marks are. Mine was along the bump inside the wall where the screw is (This is by design, don't rub too much here!), underneath the tactical rail and a few other random corners of the holster. It was catching on the sharp edges of the aluminum against the hard ABS of the holster. In good light you will actually see the ABS fragments still clinging to the exact spot on which your frame that it is rubbing into. Use a simple women's nail file for this problem! Take a coarse nail file and gently file away the holster until it is smooth in the places where your particular frame rubs. Use gentle force as you can take away but not add material back. After 10 minutes of this and blowing out and rubbing the filings away the holster holds the weapon upside down and shaking it won't dislodge it but when worn as instructed a quick smooth draw pulls it out naturally without snagging. Tighten the screw back to desired degree. The holster is VERY comfortable when worn properly. Read the instructions on the bag too! I don't know where it is made, it is Israel by design and only had a PA address on the bag with no markings of origin on the holster.

The best OWB holster I've ever seen.
THE single BEST holster i've ever owned for the money.Let me preface this review stating that i've owned a lot of holsters.I have BlackHawk holsters, I have Uncle Mikes holsters, I have Alien gear holsters, I have a crossbreed holster, and now, I have a fobus holster.I wish, wholeheartedly, that I could take all of my other OWB holsters back, and get a few more of these fobus paddle holsters. If you're a person who is tired of those stupid metal clip on holsters tearing up your belt, or attempting to wear one that attaches to your belt, only to find out that your belt is too flimsy, then this is the holster for you. Period.I've never worn a paddle holster in my life until this one, and, holy crow, I am a convert. The comfort level far surpasses my alien gear and crossbreed OWB holsters. In fact, I've actually forgotten I was wearing it and walked into work with it (whoops). My uptight employer aside, that level of comfort is hard to achieve when you're skin and bones like me, with hip bones that you'd swear were sharpened. The retention is adjustable with a friction screw on the corner by the trigger guard. you can get this thing so tight, that you'll pull it off of your pants before you get the gun out. (Side note, you cannot fire the weapon with the gun in the holster. you just can't do it. I've tried. it's extremely safe)I found the sweet spot in the middle, and slid my big black springfield XD right in there. Took her to the range, practiced a few draws with it until I felt comfortable, and I started carrying her. As of writing this review, I've carried this holster for nearly 25 days. I can't find anything bad to say about it. If I do, i'll update this review.Until then,Throw this puppy in your shopping cart, Hit checkout, and don't look back.

Better than I expected
I'm reviewing this holster based on the value for the money. That being said, I have to admit I do love it. My first holster was an in waist band fabric one from a large national sporting goods store. It was such a pain to re-holster my Mak I eventually stopped carrying. This holster has changed that. I am now carrying daily with no discomfort and am able to adjust the holster safely for comfort. I can also feel safe about holstering my weapon (previously had to put my holster in waist band with MAK inside). This MAK1 was a perfect fit for my Bulgarian MAK by the way. The only thing I can ding it on is that the barrel points a bit towards the back and the angle is a bit tough to pull. But I knew that from reading reviews and am okay with it. For the cheap price I paid, I can't complain. Also, I'm glad I got a paddle holster. My job requires me to go in and out of client locations and some are posted no carry, so being able to easily put my weapon in the glove box WITHOUT dropping my pants in the parking lot is fairly useful.Very glad to see a manufacturer making things for my Makarov and I will be ordering some more from them. Oh, and the Prime shipping from Amazon was fast and efficient as always.
