Holy Rosary with Velvet bag, box and with Soil from the Holy Land

The rosary is very poorly and haphazardly glued together and the crucifix fell off after taking it out of the bag.

I received this Rosary as advertised and well before the mid-June shipment date. It only took 2 or three days because I went through Amazon Prime/Fulfilled by Amazon. I am not a Catholic, but am a devout Protestant seeking and willing to accept different ways of worshipping God. Therefore, I bought this in order to begin the practice of Rosary prayer to find a more centered spiritual self. I say that to say that for this purpose, this Rosary is perfect. Given the price, I did not expect an expensive looking Crucifix nor did I expect pure gold bead fixes. However, this Rosary is beautiful and actually smells really good. I am not sure if that is because it is olive wood or because of how it is stored in the warehouse, but I loved it. lol The beads slide easily through the fingers and once they have been warmed up in my hands during prayer, the fragrance wafts. I just think that is pretty neat. I am very pleased with this item. I would definitely buy more.

I did not receive the velvet pouch, but the rosary was just what I wanted. The beads were smooth and the links were well connected with the openings being more or less buried inside the beads. The length and weight was comfortable. The cross was not the same as pictured in the photo; it looked kind of cheap, but acceptable for the price. I thought of purchasing a more expensive rosary, but this is as functional as the more expensive ones, so now I have a little piece of the Holy Land in my hands when I pray. How good is that! I think "Our Lady of Poverty" as St. Francis calls her, would approve. The lack of a pouch bothers me though and I would like you potential buyers to beware. Other reviewers said they received their pouches. Maybe I'm the only one who didn't. One reviewer said the seller was dishonest ("onest") but did not elaborate. Because of the missing piece, I contacted the seller but with no result. Amazon however gave me a credit. Amazon has always made good on any purchase that I've had trouble with.

I want to start by saying it is worth the price, but it isn't perfect (for under 6 dollars I feel it is fine). I have never had a rosary before, and just wanted to try one before making/buying a very nice one that cost more money. The epoxy and soil overflowed the little pool on the back of Mary (the middle piece) on mine. One of the beads is more of a 1/2 bead, and another bead has a split lengthwise (along the grain of the wood) but is not broken (I can probably glue it before it breaks). The rosary is very nice looking and is exactly what I wanted, a rosary to use to know if I liked this prayer method, and functions fully for that. The classic wood beads also make it a nice addition to hang where it can be seen in a bedroom or with other jewelry. The back of the crucifix has Jerusalem written in larger raised letters too.
