Great build, but much smaller than expected
Overall, I'm happy with the purchase. The clay and inner glazing are nice and pour doesn't spill.I've read other reviews saying that the brew volume has been coming out smaller than expected, but I went along with the purchase anyway. This turned out to be true in my case as well; to illustrate, a full brew in the gaiwan only fills up ~1/2 of my 150ml cup. That's not a problem as I've been doing two quick brews at once.Only real problem is the fast temperature drop. An initial 90C can drop to 75C within ~1.5 mins for a preheated gaiwan (I know it depends on outside temperature and other outside factors), but this has been problematic for brewing Oolongs. Not a problem for green teas through.
