Q: Has anyone take this to a dealer to ensure that it is not a knockoff? It is 200$ less than a dealer and many bad performance reviews.

That ^ is completely false. Amazon does not verify anything; they are only concerned with the money. I have seen (and unfortunately) bought several items that seemed legit, but were proven fake knock-offs. Now when it comes to watches/jewellery, red dot optics for guns, etc...basically any "big ticket" item, I go straight to the OEM.
