USB WebCams are in high demand because of "shelter in place" — low availability, high cost, and delayed delivery dates forced me to look for other options. I took a chance with this camera module and found that it works like champ! The simple camera housing had a 1/4-20 mount that allowed me to attach it to a small, flexible camera tripod. The cable was long enough for me to move my notebook PC to a more convenient location. (I'm still using my PC's microphone for now.) In the few days that I've used the camera, I found that it works on Windows 10 with Teams, and on OS X with Zoom. That's right out of the box and simply plugged into the USB port. I'm satisfied with the image quality and autofocus.

Excellent camera but very limited documentation
It is difficult to find much information for this device but I decided to purchase it anyway. The aluminum camera housing is solid and should work well for my application of robotic image captures. For the record, the size in the listing is for the box it comes in. The camera itself is 42 x 42 mm and 36 mm in depth. I was also interested in mounting options and pictures of the back and of the mounting tab on the bottom of the unit are attached. There is a threaded bolt hole for mounting. I expected it would be metric but in fact it is a 1/4" coarse thread fitting which fits standard tripod adapters. The threaded hole is about 0.25" deep. The enclosed housing and simple mounting option will be helpful. The only thing in the box was the camera and cable. At this time, the downloads tab on the ELP website has nothing on it. If there is any written documentation for this camera other than the Amazon description I certainly could not find it. However, after some searching I was finally able to find the SDKs and test software in an obscure location which I tried to provide here, but found I cannot list urls in an Amazon review so I had to remove it. Too bad. There are Windows and Linux SDKs available and also a handy test program (amcap.exe) at that address, so if you would like to find software for this camera try contacting the vendor; perhaps you will have better luck with that approach than I did. Or maybe ELP will finally get around to adding these programs to the empty downloads link on their main website - who knows. There are 24 video caps and 1 still cap available on this cameraHD USB CameraPin: Capture, 24 capsCap 0: FORMAT_VideoInfo, MJPG, 24 bits, 1920x1080 @ 31 fpsCap 1: FORMAT_VideoInfo2Cap 2: FORMAT_VideoInfo, MJPG, 24 bits, 640x480 @ 120 fpsCap 3: FORMAT_VideoInfo2Cap 4: FORMAT_VideoInfo, MJPG, 24 bits, 800x600 @ 60 fpsCap 5: FORMAT_VideoInfo2Cap 6: FORMAT_VideoInfo, MJPG, 24 bits, 1280x720 @ 60 fpsCap 7: FORMAT_VideoInfo2Cap 8: FORMAT_VideoInfo, MJPG, 24 bits, 1280x1024 @ 31 fpsCap 9: FORMAT_VideoInfo2Cap 10: FORMAT_VideoInfo, MJPG, 24 bits, 320x240 @ 120 fpsCap 11: FORMAT_VideoInfo2Cap 12: FORMAT_VideoInfo, YUY2, 16 bits, 1920x1080 @ 6 fpsCap 13: FORMAT_VideoInfo2Cap 14: FORMAT_VideoInfo, YUY2, 16 bits, 640x480 @ 31 fpsCap 15: FORMAT_VideoInfo2Cap 16: FORMAT_VideoInfo, YUY2, 16 bits, 800x600 @ 21 fpsCap 17: FORMAT_VideoInfo2Cap 18: FORMAT_VideoInfo, YUY2, 16 bits, 1280x720 @ 9 fpsCap 19: FORMAT_VideoInfo2Cap 20: FORMAT_VideoInfo, YUY2, 16 bits, 1280x1024 @ 6 fpsCap 21: FORMAT_VideoInfo2Cap 22: FORMAT_VideoInfo, YUY2, 16 bits, 320x240 @ 31 fpsCap 23: FORMAT_VideoInfo2Pin: Video Camera TerminalPin: Still, 1 capsCap 0: FORMAT_VideoInfo, YUY2, 16 bits, 1920x1080 @ 1 fpsA major concern for me was the autofocus feature which is very important for my applications. The autofocus performed reasonably well in initial testing. However, it is slow and sometimes took up to 10 to 20 seconds to lock down the focus, so sufficient stabilization time is necessary. An example shot at the default resolution of 1920 x 1080 is attached. The original image was printed on standard, thin paper and was not flat so it is not a fair test, but the focus looks like it will work for me. I find that I can use my current robotic capture program to change filenames, delay times and also select the 1280x1024, 24 bit resolution that I need, and capture jpg images with this camera so I may not even need the SDK.Overall this is a pretty good camera for high resolution robotic imaging at a very reasonable price. So far, I am glad I got it.

Great webcam, great price
I was skeptical, but this webcam is actually great! The autofocus works very well, and the picture quality is good.

Solid outer Casing with Standard video quality.
The camera comes in a Hardened almost steel outer square casing which looks as though it would definitely pass a few drop test. Definitely appears to be best suited for an Outdoor and subtle IRL (In Real Life) Video setting I.E. Wilderness video or Security Camera setting. Whilst it has to be connected to a Computer or a really long extended USB it appears to have good potential as a product in that space and capacity.
