) have a simple cap and seal that comes off quite easily. Not quite sure what HR was thinking when ...
Just started using this oil based on recommendation of trusted mechanic. So I obviously can't vouch for long term engine protection. I'm giving it three stars because of the inconvenience of the cap. First there is a tape seal around the screw cap that is surprisingly difficult to pull off, especially if you use gloves when you replace your oil. That is not really such a big deal. The real problem is the foil seal on the bottle's rim once the cap is off. The seal was trimmed flush with the edge on the quarts I received. Only way to remove it was puncture with a screwdriver then peal off. It was problematic because as you pull off the foil seal it tends to shred into small flakes and you have to be careful not to allow any flakes to drop inside the bottle. The glue on the lip is very secure, such that you really cannot remove all the foil seal, There will be remnants left on the edges. I just tried to smooth those down as much as possible before I poured the oil in the engine so no pieces would drop in with the oil pour. Other brands I have used (Valvoline, Quaker State, Mobile 1, etc.) have a simple cap and seal that comes off quite easily. Not quite sure what HR was thinking when they came up with this system.

Correct oil for your engine
I run a 502 chevy big block. Full roller & 658 hp. This is the best oil on the market. With Joe Gibbs conventional hot rod oil. To get 10w40. Mix 6 qts. of 10w30 & 2 qts. of 15w50. This combination for my application is right on. If you have any questions please call the tech line. Having an older engine the conventional hot rod oil is the only way to go!!
