Q: Is this machine washable?

We don't recommend you put it in the washing machine as this can effect your warranty. We recommend you wash it by hand.

Q: Has anyone taken this on a plane as carry on luggage?

I have many times, but not packed to full height, as it is close, using Easyjet and Flybe. The airlines publish the max dimensions for carry-on, so that you can check before you leave home.

Q: Would I have to check this bag into the hold on a Ryanair flight or would I be able take it as cabin luggage?

It is too big for hand luggage. Often people are allowed this size bag to go through as hand luggage without it being measured. You would be relying on the whim of the check in crew.
