Q: Can you please explain why is says "Not suitable for dual pane/insulated windows." ?

What if this is placed on the outside panel of my Dual pane glass? would it prevent that heat build up?

I used soap and water in a spray bottle sprayed the window to the point it was dripping then pealed off the backing and applied. It took about a week before all the bubbles went away. Works great I am in AZ it has cut my electric bill in half having my window covered with the film. Use two pieces of masking tape one on each side to pull the backing off. Dont let touch at all or it will stick together and you wont be able to use. It does not peal apart at all if you end up getting a fold in it. Its a bit of work and you have to go slow but you will be happy in the end.

Q: How do I get it off if I when I want to and will it leave a residue?

There are several techniques for removal.Most of the time, you can pull it off leaving little to no residue. Other times using a hand fabric steamer or soaking the film in ammonia (windex) will make removal much easier.If there is residue, a window scraper or glass safe razor can easily remove the residue.

Q: My windows slide horizontally. If I put these on my windows can I still open and close them without the film ripping or tearing?

the film is installed onto the glass and not the entire window
