Does not come with a 3pin plug fitted
Surely if being sold for the UK market you would make sure an item like this would have the mandatory 3 pin plug fitted. Bought as Stanley is a well known brand I cannot tell you how disappointed I am over this item, well I can but doubt it would be published.

Battery Charger
Product works but should not be offered for sale in UK as it is 110volts and requires a transformer to operate on 240volt supply

So far so good.
I was having battery issues about a year ago, so I had the battery replaced. Last week, Monday of course, the new battery was dead. I have a charger I got 20 years ago from Crappy Tire. It's a good charger, but it takes hours to charge enough to start a car. I wanted a newer charger with the boost feature.I received this charger on a Friday, and I used it to top up the battery which worked without issue. However, I am not going to have a chance to test the boost feature until the next time I have a problem with my car. I hope this is a reliable charger, and I hope the boost feature is working since it hasn't been tested.I will edit this review when I find out, but it could be buried under many other reviews by the time I do.The good:Great functionality, (charging, boosting, reconditioning, alternator check)Rugged case, rubber all around.Easy to store cables (power cable inside and battery cables wrapped around the unit and clamped in place)Stanley (I would trust Stanley more than some generic Chinese manufacturer, however there is no way to know if Stanley is still really Stanley). The bad:I could have bought the 20A version for $10 more (not that I really need it on a regular car battery).Edit:My battery dies on a Monday. I tried the battery boost feature, and it didn't work. Followed the directions and only got a second of noise from the engine. If you need the boost feature, purchase something better.

Required complete disassembly to repair (connect) someone's assembly error.
Hopefully, yours doesn't arrive as mine did - not working.Unfortunately, I didn't have immediate need for it when it arrived, so just "shelved it" until today.Plug it in and, lo and behold, no work! (Tried 3 different power outlets, just to be sure)I may have been able to return it, but I required it to work TODAY, not 3 weeks from now.So...out with the Phillips screwdriver, and take it apart, to find out what's wrong with it.As you can see in the photo, some genius at the assembly plant failed to connect one of the power leads to the circuit board.Repair the connection, re-assemble the unit and...voila! It works as intended.Overall, I AM happy with this purchase, but less than impressed with their quality control - this should have been picked up on, prior to shipping!

Don’t be fooled
DO NOT BUY THIS CHARGER _ WARNING!!!!!Update : won’t charge flat atv battery , seems to pump high amps into the battery and then has a fault. No trickle charge feature (2 amp steady). I’ve now tried this charger numerous times and on numerous battery’s. Wish I noticed it wasn’t great within the return window. Just past by about a month. Shame. Will try to send the manufacturer a message to ask if they have any solutions but based on other reviews probably not. I bought because of the Stanley name (I like most Stanley products) but now see this is a made under license Stanley product. Ultimately,it charges my batteries less than 30% of the time when I try to use it.Tried to contact Stanly for warranty repair. They said limited warranty and unit must be mailed to Boca Raton, Florida at my expense. If it is determined the unit has a defect, they will repair it. It appears none of these units work properly (as described) so I'm not confident they can repair it to work as described.
