Excellent product. Easy to apply. I used on light grey car mats 6 months ago and they still look like new and clean very easily. Recommended.

Works great!
When shopping for a new car recently I was looking for a leather or leather-like interior to resist spills and what not due to having a toddler (with another on the way). For the particular model I was looking at, it would have cost me way more than I'd like to spend just to get the seats I wanted because of automatic package upgrades for the vehicle. I looked into a more reasonably priced package (one with cloth seats) to save some cash and decided I'll just have to buy car seat covers. My uncle suggested I just get Scotchgard, and I'm thankful for his suggestion! I still ordered seat covers but they weren't scheduled to come in for some time so I got Scotchgard as a backup just in case any spills happened. And of course, spills did happen and were easy to clean up! I cleaned the spills up pretty quickly after it occurred so I couldn't say how the product performed after the liquid was sitting there, but Scotchgard allowed me enough time to grab a towel and soak it up before it began to settle into the upholstery. It worked so well that I will be looking into Scotchgarding the upholstery in my house! In a home with children, this is a must for your car (if you want to keep your sanity)!

Easy to use, seems effective
Easy to apply, wasn't too smelly during application, did not affect the look of the car fabric, and dried quickly. Followed the directions precisely and was able to spray two thin layers across the front seats and front floor mats of my SUV before the can ran out. You probably need 2-3 cans to spray the entire interior of a midsized car. Bought my car recently and this seemed like a cheap and easy way to add some protection to the interior.

Seems like it will work
Seems like it will work. 4 stars because there is no immediate or quick remedy to remove this from auto plastic. I wiped as I sprayed but had no idea this stuff is so difficult to remove from plastic once it dries. It turns into a milky film and is very scary. I sprayed my Acura MDX tonight and wiped off everything up front with a towel. It did not seem to bother the plastic up front. When I sprayed the walls of my trunk and floor carpet I immediately noticed some overspray dried and it look awful. I first tried 99% alcohol. This only spread the milky film and made it worse. I applied pressure with s towel then followed up with meguiars vinyl cleaner. With a ton of effort I got one small spot clear but it was everywhere in my trunk on the exposed plastics. It seems wiping after spraying did not help on the plastic in my trunk, Im not sure why. I found someone suggesting non acetone nail polish remover online and decided to try it. This stuff contains ethyl keytone which is a non polar solvent. I assume that most hydrocarbons will defeat scotchguard on plastic, the trick is finding one that will not also melt your plastic. For .89 cents I bought a bottle of acetone free nail polish remover at Kroger. I applied it to a clean terry cloth towel and tested a spot right there in the parkinglot. It worked and did not damage my plastic. I then wiped all of the scotchguard off of my plastic and followed up with a vinyl protectant. No more stained plastic and I am relieved.
