Tried other colouring pencils, BUT….
I have tried other colouring pencils, some quite expensive, but these are the best all round I have come across. Loads of lovely colours, and a good range of browns, which I like. Sharpen brilliantly, and cover most papers very well. With experience, would not buy anything else now.

Marco pencils
The colours are nice, but they don't blend, and I can't mix them between two colours. I recommend it for children at most.P.s. After two weeks I owe Marco pencils an apology. I still can't move them dry, but with solvent they blend well and give a beautiful smooth velvety finish. I can then apply several layers. Now I don't regret buying them. So I'm changing the star to 4 and I might buy more.

Great set of beautiful pencils
This is my 2nd set of these pencils. I can't recommend them highly enough. If you love colouring as much as I do you won't regret buying them.

Excellent pencils for the price.
I am a serious artist and use coloured pencils a lot for portraits, animal portraits and even landscapes. When I bought these pencils, to be honest I wasn't expecting much. I saw a good review and thought "Hmm, well, twenty quid, I'll give them a go". When they arrived, I made a swatch, as I always do, and was instantly impressed with the handling and saturation. They layer beautifully and blend extremely well.I tend to work in a multi-layered way, starting with fairly hard, wax based pencils and building up to a final layer in oil based pencils. These pencils work well both on top of other layers and as an underpainting The white is very good for glazing too. They give a very pleasing glow to glazes and layes which is usually only found with more expensive brands. They are slightly harder than Polychromos or Luminance but hold their own well with both of these. I particularly like using them with Derwent Lightfast, they complement each other beautifully. I haven't had them long enough to comment on lightfastness but have left work out for a few weeks with no fading. So, in conclusion I have no hesitation in recommending Raffiné Marco pencils for anyone creating serious artworks, or even, perhaps especially, for those wanting to step up to oil based pencils without breaking the bank. Give them a go, this was one of the best twenty quids I have ever spent.

Nice budget oil based colouring pencils
I bought these as I wanted to try oil based pencils without spending alot of money.I like that they colour smoothly and keep a good point. The 72 set contains a good range of colours, they could be more pigmented but are very good quality for the price.I've only had a few of the set with broken leads and I am overall very happy with my new pencils.
