Spigen Ultra Hybrid Back Cover Case Compatible with iPhone 12 Pro/12 (TPU + Poly Carbonate | Crystal Clear)

I use Spigen back case like this one for iPhone 5s. So, I had some idea what this will look like. This one indeed turned out to be just a bigger version of that case. It is robust, fits very well and fairly decent looking. It is not very thin/slim. It will make the phone a little thick to hold but not uncomfortable. Regarding color, the completely transparent one (Crystal Clear model) that is transparent even on the borders looked very good, especially for a white color iPhone. But then, I got the impression that it will become yellowish over time. So, I chose transparent back with black sides/borders instead (i.e. Matte Black model) - that's the color I use for my iPhone 5s too and it never became yellowish, and the current case hasn't either. There is a small box like gap in the case for cameras that has a somewhat thick border which has black color for my case. For a white color iPhone, that black bordered gap at the back might look a little conspicuous.I had seen some reviews that mentioned a block spot emerging at the back when the phone is put in the case. Indeed it happened to me as well. The black spot varies in size - the more you press the case against the phone, the bigger the spot becomes. It looked very ugly and I was disappointed. Fortunately, it can be resolved - at least in my case, the spot has gone. Just tried removing the phone and putting it back in the case twice or thrice, and did not press too hard after fitting. If there was any small spot left, it just went away over time - in a few hours or so.Overall, yet another well-made case by Spigen for iPhone. May not be very slim, but otherwise works perfectly. Might be a good idea to avoid Crystal Clear (completely transparent including borders) model, and go for some other color (that is transparent only on the back but not on the borders/sides).

Very sturdy and sleek. Hasn’t turned yellow even after 1 year of usage. Very satisfied!

Case looks minimal and clean. Looks premium, buttons feel very tactile. But it lacks grip and is very slippery sometimes also the case is expensive for what it offers better look for other options.

Buy these cases all the time and have never been disappointed. No matter what the phone is, i would get one and one of these would last me the entire time I'd have that device (1-2 years). And here's why. I think consistently, Spigen has had great build quality and design. I say this because not only does the case itself take the beating for the phone, but it just keeps chugging along despite getting beaten up. I'm buy no means tame with my phone. I find myself throwing my phone atleast 2 or 3 times a week. And the spigen case just takes it. Sure the case will get scuffed up, but the case never ends up looking that bad. That is to say that the case takes a beating very well. This isn't to mention that the phone always ends up just fine. Not just the parts covered by the case, such as the edges, but the screen as well. Because of the way the case is designed, the protector also helps shield the screen due to the raised edges. Anyways, all this to say that spigen makes what I would consider go to cases. They are consistently great, always made with high quality materials, will always snugly fit the phone, and will take the abuse that you need it to. So if you're someone who wants to buy one case to protect your phone, go for spigen. I promise you wont be disappointed.
