After a quick fix, they are perfect.
We were so excited to get these to play Duck Hunt and Nerf N-Strike on the Wii U Virtual Console. The Wiimote fit perfectly but something wasn't right as the trigger on the Zapper gun would not press the Wiimote trigger (B button).I noticed that the Zapper gun trigger was too tight. There are 2 screws keeping it attached. Once I loosened them the trigger worked perfectly. My kids are now super happy and have a had a great time with them.
