Introducing the EXO-AT950, a versatile modular adventure touring helmet. It has quality and features that you would expect to pay far more. The EXO-AT950 can be used as a full-face adventure helmet with external peak visor attached, or the visor can be removed to have an aerodynamic touring helmet. The no-fog Everclear shield can be removed and used as a dirt helmet with goggles for off-road use. Our oversized eye port is extremely wide for greater peripheral vision and downward visibility. The modular chin bar is easily flipped up when you stop for gas or ask for directions. The internal drop-down sun visor and Kwikwick II liner will keep you comfortable all day long even as lighting conditions change throughout the day. Three shell sizes made of advanced LG polycarbonate and dual density eps, result in a helmet that’s lightweight, strong, and protective. DOT approved. Meets the FMVSS 218 Standard.

Great helmet; Great Value! Used plenty already!
Hands down a wonderful helmet! Scorpion has notoriously tight cheek pads, but they thermo-form quite well after just a few decent rides. I couldn't care less about the modular function, but I will say, it locks down nice and secure and it isn't nearly as loud as modulars I've ridden with before. The drop down sun visor is also a life saver, although the tab to pull it down/push it up is harder to find than the one on my trusty EXO-1000 and I'm a bit bummed about that. It also fits a comm. System very well, with speaker cut outs that don't allow pressure points. I use a Sena 20S and it fits nice and flush on the side. Although if you opt to use the chin curtain like I do, you have to be careful when you utilize the modular function because the microphone will be in the way when you lift the face of your helmet and I would hate to damage my Sena; simple fix would be to not use the chin curtain if you use a comm. System, but again, I don't much care for the modular trend, and I'm keeping the chin curtain on mine for warmth and quiet. Vents are also well executed- they do more than just preventing the visor from fogging: you can actually feel a nice cooling air flow when they're open! A concept missed by many of my previous helmets. All in all, a beautiful helmet and IMHO the best bang for your buck.

... was an open box item missing a few things like the side covers
I purchased this through Amazon's Warehouse deals as it was an open box item missing a few things like the side covers, manual, etc. I figured I would just procure them later if I needed them. I Upon visiting Scorpion's website I found they don't list the side covers as something you can buy, so I e-mailed their support line to see what I can do about getting them. A few days later I get an e-mail back from their office asking for my shipping address so they can send them free of charge to me. A couple days later I get a package containing said side covers, plus a manual, plus a chin curtain! Totally awesome company and will definitely be keeping them in mind for my future gear purchases! As for the helmet itself the fit is definitely tight around the front part of my cheeks but I prefer that tight fit over my previous helmet that would seem to move around my entire head while traveling down a windy road. The adventure peak doesn't seem to catch as much wind as I thought it would on the highway but they did generate a bit a noise at higher speeds. I have since switched it back to the regular side covers for daily driving. The modular function operates smoothly and the internal visor is a huge plus. I haven't had the exterior visor fog up on me yet but the internal one does a little but if I'm breathing heavy at a stop but once in motion it quickly clears up.I have installed a Sena 10C and the speakers fit perfectly in the helmet's speaker cutouts. The only issue I had was the Sena's bracket wasn't contoured to this helmets curvature so I had to improvise some rubber spacers to make sure it would clamp down tight. All in all a great helmet for the money and an awesome company to deal with!

A noob, so grain of salt time.
Weight? It's heavy. To me. But I haven't warn a helmet since football in high school. So, yeah. As for comfort? It isn't broken in. I hear that takes a while. Wearing it around the house, from time to time. I have the motorcycle, helmet, and insurance. Waiting on registration, license, and other gear. But excited. And, I really do like the look and general feel of the helmet. I may also purchase a single whole one piece helmet, but this will do for now. I like that I can open this up. It gets claustrophobic in there. I suppose until one gets used to it. Very happy with the purchase, and will get used to the weight, and break it in for better comfort. Very good helmet, I think. After trying, say, fifteen different sorts and kinds.

Smoking deal on a quality helmet.
I had 2017 EXO-AT950 helmet I lost in a fire. I went to replace it and found the cold weather helmet came the breath box and double pain visor. The two things I paid extra for my old helmet. The only thing I needed was to get was a smoke colored inside flip down visor. It still saved me over half the price of a regular helmet and add on’s.

Chin bar release mechanism is plastic
Bought the EXO AT-950 last month. Took an 850 mile off road trip. Chin bar release broke halfway. Thankfully helmet still comes on and off easily. Called ScorpionUSA direct and received a new release mechanism in two days. Its still plastic and prone to breakage. If your helmet is tight or you’ve got chubby cheeks good luck getting the helmet off. Panic may be induced.I realize this helmet is inexpensive but one simple metal part would fix it. Otherwise fit and finish is ABOVE expectations. Airflow was great. Quiet for a flip face.

It's an average helmet
The Good:It's as quiet as me Nolas N91 and feels a little lighter to me. It also has a nice large visor area with good visability. The parts that need further development: Alot of air flows through the chin curtain, and it would probably be quieter if the chin curtain was a little thicker, after all, I think you would get enough air through the chin vent.I don't find that everclear coating works that well, and on the cooler days I keep the chin vent closed because of all the cool air coming in from under the helmet, so the shields fog up pretty easily.I find that the visor is either too high or not long enough so as it is practically useless for keeping the sun out of your eyes. The tinted drop down visor should be tinted darker
