Godsend for growing out greys without brassy ends!
I’m on my second attempt at growing out my natural hair and embracing the grey, after years of box dying my brunette hair. The thing that caused me to fail last time was not being able to deal with the demarcation line between my (still fairly dark) salt and pepper, and the old faded, brassy orange dyed part, which just kept getting more and more brassy over time. Now, this conditioner doesn’t do anything permanent to the hair so it won’t disrupt my grow out, but if I just put it on the old dye, it completely takes the brassiness away, and leaves the line much less noticeable. I think this will be the thing that helps me totally ditch the dye forever this time. See the before and after pics to see for yourself! Very much more bearable on this long journey to embracing the grey. It’s also very affordable which helps - I get 4-5 uses out of a bottle on my bra-strap length, thick hair. It doesn’t leave the hair super soft like other conditioners, so I just use my normal conditioner after washing it out. I use it every other wash or so, applied on clean, freshly washed and towel dried hair for 20 mins, just like hair dye. Use gloves and scrub it off any skin before it stains.

Cannot belive the results !!
I have been growing out natural grey roots which was a mixture of salt and pepper the bottom half of my hair was built up black box dye that I had to bleach up as the demarcation line was too much but then i was struggling with the warmth comming through after I then applied a popular grey dye. I had to had to dye it twice in 4 weeks as the grey I was using yes was lovely but faded quickly and was left with a silvery dark blondish base to work with.I was recommended this steel grey to try as can be used regularly ....I washed with shampoo, towel dried and applied, gloves are a must !!I applied all over and combed through and left for just 5 mins as its the 1st application I will only be leaving 3 mins next time as does grip the hair quickly it looked virtually black when wet but once dried I have achieved the granny grey look I wanted without the blue undertone you can so often get with grey, its left my hair with a beautiful shine and amazing smell and it can be used every time it fades or I need a touch up without worrying about uneven washout and fading or fully re-dying again and again, my hair actually feels like silk considering the process it's been through over the past couple of months. Will deffo recommend to anyone wanting a grey look there struggling to maintain.

Does what it says
At last, a steel grey that comes out the right colour.Saves me having to apply my hair colour so often.Word of caution, it really grabs pre lightened hair, so do a strand test first.Probably lasts maybe three washes I'd say and fades a bit each wash.

It works
Wish I had taken a before and after. I've got highlights on brown hair that were going orange, used half the tube. Thick, medium length hair. It really works, took away the orange and left ash tone. Definitely recommend

Meh..
Sadly, not as good as Makki Professional Grey. This doesn't last as long, and it tends to tinge natural grey towards green as it washes out.

Good for level 7/8 blondes looking to stay ashy
I’ve been despairing with the maintenance of my ashy dark blonde hair - silver shampoos are not meant for hair as dark as mine and for some reason blue shampoo didn’t seem to be of much help either. Not to mention that shampoos like that dry your hair out in the long run, so it’s not a great option especially if your hair goes through colour treatments and heat styling. I’ve gone to a few hairdressers and their solution has been to slap a toner on it, which gives great results, of course, but the toner uses a developer which will always damage your hair in the process of depositing colour. And it would always fade in a week!Enter this Osmo hair mask! I figured since grey is essentially just a darker version of silver, this would function as a toner for my dark blonde, bringing back those ashy tones. The plan was to mix it with a conditioning hair mask in order to dilute the pigment. Now, when I first tried it, I mixed too much of the product with my conditioner and ended up with VERY grey hair. Not to fret though, it washed away nicely and throughout the fading process I’ve been enjoying perfect dark ash blonde hair. So just a word of caution, you only need a tiny amount of this in your conditioner mixture! Otherwise you’ll be grey. And that’s a feature, not a flaw! It will take me ages to use up this bottle so it’s very economical. :) The best part of course is that this does not damage the hair, and I can now incorporate it into my deep conditioning routine so in the long run it will only benefit my hair by saving me from unnecessary peroxide-based toners.
