Kala Jeera! Finally
There's definitely a mix-up when recipes call for black cumin. They usually mean kala jeera, but nigella seeds are also called black cumin occasionally. They are not interchangeable (at least not in the recipes I use) and I've had great experience with the Rani company's pastes and whole spices like green and black cardamom and fenugreek seeds, and I'm similarly happy with this purchase.

This is not kala jeera!!! Are you kidding me? Kala jeera is black and looks kind of like sesame seeds. This product is not it at all.
