Works great on old farm equipment.
I have a 1995 Ford F350 diesel flatbed that I use occasionaly and the batteries were always too weak to start it when I needed it. I bought this charger in October, 2024, set it on the dash and plugged it into the lighter socket. Now, the truck cranks right up any time I need it. I just bought a second one for my old JD backhoe, which also needs charging every time I need it.

Nice little unit
Just installed, not sure if it will be enough to keep my battery charged over weeks.Cigarette lighter method worked on 2008 chevy, makes it easy, no pulling of cable from cab to the battery.Suction cups are a bit of pain to install, tight fit, but guess that will keep them secure going forward.Only use this truck ones every few weeks, find the battery dead after a few weeks, hope this will prevent this, will find out in a few weeks

No reason to let a dormant vehicle lose its charge
A rarely used vehicle, especially mowers or boats during the winter, need not suffer irreparable battery damage. I bought the 10-watt version of the Eco-worthy trickle charger, and it's really performed for us. It kept a vehicle charged until we finally figured out what was causing the drain. Just knowing the battery wouldn't go dead was worth the cost. And if you have stored batteries (RVs, etc), this, too, will keep them topped off during your less-used periods.Lead-acid batteries, in particular, need regular charging. Left at below 50% state of charge, you'll eventually find they will no longer hold their charge. Lithium-style batteries are a little more dependable, but they're not immune to battery drain damage. This low-wattage solar panel is a complete kit: the 10-watt panel, suction cups to mount it to the inside of a car window, alligator clamps to directly connect to the battery terminals, and a cigarette 12-volt plug for those vehicles that still connect to the battery when the engine is off.Rural families in particular should have at least one of these to make sure everything starts when you need it to.

False advertising (???)
UPDATE - 5/10/23 - I have had this connected to the less-than-one-year-old 800CCA AGM battery in my convertible for two months. It faces pretty much due West and gets plenty of afternoon / evening sun yet it will NOT charge the battery above 11.4V. There's no way to know if the panel is connected and providing a charge due to no status light, and you can't actually measure the output voltage or current without it having a charging load attached (which defeats the purpose of being able to tell if the panel is even working as you'll get voltage readings off of the battery). I've since been able to repair my Battery Tender 5W panel (discontinued model) and re-install it to bring the battery charge level up on the car.Within the listing, in multiple places (including product photos), it claims that this charger is waterproof. The box, however, literally says "Keep Dry" and shows a graphic of an umbrella protecting it from water (see photo). Also in the listing, and in the product instruction sheet in the box, it says that you have to remove the "protective film" before using it. There is not film installed on the charger anywhere. The device is a cheap piece of fiberglass with the solar cells mounted to it. The charge controller is on the back side with nothing incorporated into the design to help keep water, snow, etc. away from it. I'm not even going to waste my time trying to install it because it isn't worth the effort. I will buy a unit from BatteryTender brand as I know they are quality built and are actually weatherproof.

18V Tested.
I used my Fluke meter and measured 18V at the clamps with solar panel with cloudy sky. Amazing. Cable was long enough for Ford Transit Van. If want the panel on the passenger side and your battery is on the driver side you may need an extension cable.5.22.2025 Company Transit Van battery wouldn't crank over. I connected the solar charger and within a few hours I was able to start the vehicle.
