Came with self adhesive reflective tape and works very well. Good price for a good bit of kit. Used to verify tacho on motorbike.

Warning: Drains The Battery When Not In Use
You will need to remove the battery after every use otherwise next time you come to use it, the battery will be dead every time. 2 batteries wasted + 9v batteries aren't cheap.

Handy gadget to measure rpm.
I needed to measure the speed of an electric motor that a friend asked me to connect up for him. I had imagined I would need to use a calibrated stroboscope. However this little gadget was exactly what was needed. Accurate so far as I can tell - I did a quick check using an old record player at 45rpm nominal speed.It measures rpm (revolutions per minute) by projecting its own visible light beam at the rotating object. You push the button and it displays the rotational speed of the object. Some reflective tape is provided and you stick a small patch on the object so that the tester can detect the rotation of the item under test.The tester is really excellent value. I am looking forward to using it for checking the speed of car engines while I tinker with their ignition systems. It is small and light and fits easily into your pocket.

Poor quality control
Item was delivered with a dead battery. The battery cover keeps falling off. Very disappointed with this item. Poor quality. On top of this item was just dumped on my doorstep.☹️

Read the review for this and know I would just use it once or twice a year so value for money if you take the battery out after each use ,not sure of how accurate it is possible 5 to 10 percent .but good for job would buy again
