Works fine in my 2023 Subaru Crosstrek
Love this storage net over the oem one that goes across the entire trunk. I used the existing hooks and the seat latch for the top hook. It's big enough that it can hold a couple bottles of fluids, or carry some extra clothes just in case, and keeps it off to the side.

Fits well in 2018 Crosstrek
I had gotten some storage box style trunk organizers for a 2018 Subaru Crosstrek to store some emergency equipment, but didn't like how much space they took up in the trunk. Enter these. Even though they are for an Impreza, they fit well in the 2018 Crosstrek. 3 Sides are clips that hook into existing bag tabs/stowage tabs, and the 4th is an elasticized strap. There's an included plastic replacement "shoulder bolt" for the 4th connection point, but the thread doesn't fit on the Crosstrek. To get around that, I just backed out the existing screw (see pics), loop over the strap, and snug the screw back down. The wheel well is behind these so there's not a ton of space for stowage, but it's perfect for ponchos/survival blankets (shown in pic) and will work well to stow some light duty jumper cables.

Not bad-for a confident installer
This was an intimidating install as it involves drilling holes into ones car. With absolutely no instructions! However I knew that the other people who had reviewed this item and figured it out were happy with it, so I decided to give it ago.The parts once received were in nice shape except for the bolts were covered in a layer of rust. I wiped it with a damp then dry cloth and they seemed fine. The nets themselves match the subaru brand netting that came with my crosstrek, but of course aren't Subaru brand. To install I first found the tiny circles indicating where to drill the holes, just under where the trunk cover pops in. I saw in another review that someone had used a 1/2in drill bit, but erring on the side of caution I started with a smaller one-just incase. I did end up using the 1/2in. The trick to installing the mushroom is to loosen the anchor so it is only a few turns on the mushroom, then to shove the whole thing into the hole. This was terribly scary as I was afraid it would be swallowed by the inside of the car. Luckily there is some insulation under the panel so it doesn't fall directly down into an abyss. After incerting the rubber bit so it's entirely behind the panel simply pull forward gently and twist until the mushroom is flat against the side of the car. Because you can't hold onto the other end you won't be able to tighten it to the point it won't turn anymore, but they seemed sturdy once flush with the panel. After attaching the nets I found them a bit floppy, but after adding a few things (first aid kit and fix-a-flat) and adding my reusable bags they looked great. I like them much better than the long mesh bag that came with the car from the dealer. The only reason this didn't get five stars is that it didn't come with instructions.

Works on 2022 Crosstrek
Even though the title states this are only compatible with models up to 2018, I was able to install these on a 2022 Crosstrek without any additional hardware. There are 3 hooks that all have connection points already in the trunk. The remaining loop can be attached by loosening 1 screw and wrapping the loop around it.

Bad hardware, DO NOT DRILL 1/2” HOLES
Nets are good, hardware bad.DO NOT FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS SELLER HAS INCLUDED ON THE LISTING. These instructions are specific to the OEM Subaru mushroom clips. The ones supplied here are cheap ripoffs. I drilled the first side to a 1/2” hole per instructions on listing. No matter what I did, I couldn’t get the clip to tighten. 1/2” is too big.For the other side, I started small and worked up to a hole size where the mushroom clip was snug and tight on insertion, but I still couldn’t tighten the mushroom clip enough to prevent it from being pulled out easily. My only option was to go the local Subaru and buy the OEM clips for $12. The Subaru clips worked perfectly, even in the 1/2” hole (but I’d recommend using a 7/16” drill bit). Subaru OEM part number is F551SAN010. Buy those and save yourself the headache.

Great nets to carry extra things in my car
Rear Side Cargo Net Set of 2 For Subaru Impreza 2012-2016 Wagon XV Crosstrek NEWI bought this for my 2016 Subaru Crosstrek and it fits great. I had to stretch it out a bit because I refused to put holes in my car while it's still under warranty. Soooo I just attached one side to the back seat hook, like other reviewers mentioned. I use it to hold emergency things like water bottles, tow hooks, maps and the like. The nets are functional and unobtrusive, but one covers the trunk light so it's harder to see into the trunk at night.

Great Addition to Trunk
I have a Subaru Crosstrek 2022 and this was just the thing to add some storage for small items. I did what others have done and used zipties to secure the top corner to the seat back latch. It doesn't interfere with the operation of putting the seats down and now I have a place to put reusable grocery bags and the odd things I don't want rattling around in the back.

Revised Review
I modified my review from 1 star to 4 stars. After having purchased this item, I set about the installation, which calls for drilling a 1/2" diameter hole in the rear trim panel. The first attempt to install the "mushroom" knobs that capture the net loops failed. The well nuts that were provided had apparently aged and were no longer resilient. The well nut would not expand sufficiently to hold the mushroom securely.I made a trip to my local hardware to find replacement well nuts. They didn't stock metric well nuts (not that I expected them to).I simply purchased two 1/4" threaded inset well nuts and tapped them to 6mm. This worked perfectly. Obviously, this isn't a critical installation - I had no qualms tapping 1/4" to 6mm.If anyone intends to purchase one of these nets (Subaru part number F551SFJ000), a note of caution - you very well may encounter the same circumstance that I did. Why Subaru doesn't factory install these, I don't know.
