Forever Speed Scissor Jack Car Lift for Car/SUV/MPV/Family Car Pickup Truck Black (1.5T)

I never used to really like scissor jacks, always felt that they were a bit flimsy and a fiddle to operate with the crank. Anyway, my trolley jack decided to give up the ghost whilst doing some work on my van and needed to get another jack so that I could finish the job the next day.Whilst searching I noticed that there were a lot of scissor jacks available and with very good reviews so looked a bit deeper into them and saw that they looked a bit more substantial than the ones I used years ago, plus some had a hexagon drive for use with drills and impact guns etc.I figured I would give one a go and ordered this one as it had a reasonable weight limit.It came next day and gave it a go. I used my impact gun with it and it whizzed my van off the ground without any bother and it felt extremely stable, even at height.This jack used with an axle stand has made a big difference when working on my van compared to the trolley jack.

The media could not be loaded. I bought the 2 tonne Jack for my Kia that I had just bought. It didn't come with a Jack in the boot.This one looked ideal, and within my budget.I developed a judder on the rear brakes so used the Jack to raise the car and clean the Calipers, Using an axle stand to take the weight of the car - cleaned the caliper and lowered the car.I then swapped sides - I didn't get half way up when the winding went very very stiff and I felt going further would seriously break something on the Jack, and there was no way I was going to remove the wheel with this jack under the car so stopped winding and started lowering.It clunked, dropped a small amount, clunked, dropped some more and I thought it was just going to drop the car to the floor - It was not safe at all.I got it to the floor and took the Jack out and photographed the threads - wrecked.I dread to think what could have happened if it had either got completely stuck raised or collapsed without a wheel on.The Jack was delivered on 4th Feb 2023 and Amazon says it's out of warranty for return so I guess I have to put it out for the scrap men to take.So, like I say - avoid, avoid and avoid for your own safety.If the seller or Amazon want to reimburse my account then that would be appreciated as a good will gesture.

The jack itself seems OK however the wrench is cheap and nasty, broke on first use making the whole thing useless unless using another wrench. Luckily I was just doing some wheel cleaning, would have been a disaster if relying on it at the side of the road.

I ordered this after the one I bought failed. This time I looked closely at the far end of the jack, and what type of thread was used. I was happy as it seemed by the photos it looked more sturdy. When it arrived I checked out the rear workings and it was totally different to the other one. So I am sure this will last me a few years and not weeks like the last one.

Used it once and it bent,unsafe! Binned it.
