I think 200 lbs would be overloaded
I modified this mount to fit a heavy duty I-Beam rear bumper on my bus rv , planning to mount my Honda EU 3000is generator (134 lbs. dry weight) and a gas can. I hope this support system holds it without breaking over time. EDIT THE BUMPER BRACKETS TORE AND I ALMOST LOST MY HONDA GENERATOR ON THE HIWAY! I would not carry over 50 ibs on this rack system

Not safe, do not trust this item!
I was so excited about this product and I was able to easily install it and quite quickly too. Unfortunately I have to give it a poor review due to its poor quality, I mounted a small Traeger pellet smoker, the Lil Tex to be exact, its weight on Traegers website is 98 pounds, although after mine was installed it likely only weighed around 70-80 pounds because I removed all the legs, wheels, etc. and just mounted the body of it. It was amazing and worked so well. It travelled with us for a couple weeks without fail and made cooking off the back of our fifth wheel so awesome. Sadly the brackets (which are rated for 200 pounds) sheared off on the freeway and drug our Traeger that was barely hanging on by a thin piece of metal from the right bracket. It destroyed our Traeger and left internal parts strewn across the freeway. I checked it before and after every trip to make sure it was good and holding well, I also made sure to never have anything in it or any pellets left in the hopper to avoid unnecessary weight. So, in conclusion, I would only buy this mount if you plan on putting something very light on it. As I stated, I had at most 70-80 pounds and it couldn't handle that. I suggest the manufacturer either uses a stronger alloy or they change their rated weight to something more realistic. I suspect it could handle 200 pounds if it wasn't mounted to a trailer meant for travel but these are meant to be used on "travel trailers" and they can't handle 200 pounds or even 100 pounds with the stress of driving on roads.

Worked perfect for my needs but cheap bolts
would have given this a 5 star rating except for the bolts that were included for the adjustable brace. I put them on till they seemed snug against the metal then put a socket on them... turned a few times and thought are they ever gonna get tight? well they had stripped out so easy I didn't even feel it happen. I went to our local hardware store and got some 'regular' quality bolts..way better now. But the bolts that came with to secure the entire U shaped bracket worked as expected, no stripping out and I feel like I got them as tight as needed so bouncing down the road they would not come off.

Solid for price
Worked out great for my idea. Easy to put together. I can stand on it with no issues. No real issue except when fully extended it bent slightly when I sat on it to tighten some bolts.

Great product--BUT
Instructions were clear for SAE fasteners. BUT--the hardware bag contained metric hardware minus 1 correct washer and plus 1 wrong one. Once I realized that all was good

Not sturdy.
First trip the brackets snapped at the bumper, dropping my aluminum mounted box and ruining both brackets and my box. Not thick enough metal. Would not recommend.

Easy to install and should be on the back of every rv.
This bumper cargo support was perfect .I bought a 30 inch tool box drilled 4 holes in it bolted it to the support and now our septic hoses and accessories are outside the camper not in the cubbies! Oh it was a breeze to install.

Junk… don’t waste your money on this.
The bushings are made of plastic where the mount fits on your bumper. Broke during our trip and the rack was tilted downwards which bent more from no extra support. I wouldn’t recommend this rack. We had 4 REI lightweight camping chairs on it couldn't even handle that.
