Terrific products
Absolutely love all the Skate Anytime products I've purchased. That includes the Premier 10x18' ice surface, blue borders, 2 rubber rebounders, and the cleaner.Easy to assemble with a rubber mallet, and about as close to ice for shooting/stickhandling that I've used. Great for the 3 year old getting precious time on his skates in the time it takes to put them on. No driving to the rink during public skate times just to skate for 20 minutes. My favorite part is actually how the company says the friction is only 90% of ice, best using 5/8" blade sharpening, etc to give a realistic opinion of the product.I also love how we can use socks without immediately falling, great for having fun off skates.I havent used all the other synthetic ice brands, but I can't imagine how I'd want them to be better. Great product!

Perfect practice ice
Such a great buy. We're a hockey family, and sometimes need to practice inside due to weather. Titles are easy to install, and seem to be holding up well.

From Ice to Synthetic: An Ice Skater’s First Impression at Home
I ordered this for my daughter, who has been taking figure skating lessons for nearly a year. She was thrilled to receive it, and her excitement couldn’t wait—after leaving her skating class and arriving home late, she immediately wanted to set it up and try it out. This means her first experience was a direct transition from real ice to this synthetic version.I purchased two packages to link together, giving her more space to practice fundamentals. The panels are slightly heavier than expected—not a complaint, just an observation. Assembly was straightforward, with the interlocking panels fitting together easily. It took about 10 minutes to set up. However, I’m still determining the best surface for stability. I initially placed it on our living room’s laminate flooring, but it slid around. A low-pile carpet or a non-slip pad underneath might provide better traction.Following the instructions, we sprayed the surface with water before she started skating. Her initial reaction? “It’s kind of like ice, but different.” As the pack-sheet suggested, she became more comfortable after about 10 minutes and started having fun. Her skates were recently sharpened (about four hours of ice time on them), which might have affected the feel, as the instructions mention that slightly duller blades could provide a better experience. She absolutely loved it, though, and is thankful for it. In her words "I'll do this every day!" The ice is 30 minutes and $25 an hour away. This could easily pay for itself in less than a year.Just like real ice, there was some pitting and a small amount of plastic shavings after about 30 minutes of use. It wasn’t excessive, but since there’s no Zamboni, I followed the instructions and wiped/vacuumed it up. This raises some questions about long-term durability, but it’s too early to judge.Overall, we’re happy with it for what it is—a convenient way to practice at home. The biggest challenge as a parent will be setup and teardown, as we don’t have a dedicated space for it (the back porch will likely be its home come spring/summer). Another consideration is safety. My daughter didn’t fall this time, but I know it’s inevitable, and our living room has plenty of sharp corners—tables, the bar, the mantle, etc. To use this safely, you’ll likely need to rearrange your space and pad any potential hazards.Despite these minor concerns, this product offers a fun and useful way to extend practice time beyond the rink. Looking forward to seeing how well it holds up with regular use!

Well made, great buy
The media could not be loaded. This was a great Christmas present for my son. He uses both his roller and ice skates on it. It's perfect for practicing stick handling and saves me from paying for ice time!

Fun Synthetic Ice Surface for all Ages!
I've had my ice surface for over 3 months and it's working great! I have it set up in my garage and I can drive my SUV right over top of it without any problem as the tiles are strudy. The tiles were very easy to put together using a mallet. It's so far great for my young kids who are 5 and 3 to gain confidence in their skating and balancing. I enjoy using it primarly for my stickhandling, passing and for shooting drills. As an adult skate, it's not enough surface area to really get going on the ice however wearing my skate with dull blades and doing some strides and wearing them while i do the drills is fun. It does take a bit of getting used to at first but once you do it's a lot of fun. It's been worth the investment especially during covid when the rinks were closed and needing to continue my hockey craving. Michael C (Dir of Ops) for Skate anytime worked with me to just order just a few more tiles i needed and he also sent me the glide enhancement cleaner which works great to clean and keep the tiles smooth and fast. I will def recommend this product to my other hockey friends, especially those with kids.

Item so expensive for the size and quality
Would not buy because you can’t really skate with it, it’s way too small

Perfect substitute for the real thing
This stuff is awesome. I really didn't know what to expect. The first few "glides" with skates were strange but it got easier after more use. It also seemed to get slicker and the puck started moving better. It isn't ice but it is a good substitute while I can't go to the rink. The only real negative is cost to size (although I do think it is worth it for the price). There is not a whole lot of room to maneuver (I bought the 20 panel kit), but enough to do some stick handling and shooting. But since they are so easy to assemble, you can configure the kit in an arrangement that will work best for you.I ended up buying the 10x10 kit direct since I know I want the extra space to maneuver and to give the kids space to play together, can't wait for it to get here!I'm trusting this stuff lasts as long as advertised, but so far so good!==Got my second order today to increase the size, and my boys have been having a blast. Cannot recommend this stuff enough!I also had an inquiry and Skate Anytime got back to my ASAP, highly recommend the product and the company.
