This TV does work with Alexa but does not have an alexa built in; subscription is not required
So I've read a lot of reviews about the TV not working with Alexa and people having to pay for it. I thought I'd maybe help clear up the confusion as your friendly neighborhood IT person after I leave my review. **I have absolutely no affiliation with Roku.**Review: Easy set up of the TV. Moderate difficulty set up for Alexa if you are not familiar with Alexa skills. Very fast menu. Easiest set up I've done to reconnect my netflix, hulu, etc. I do not subscribe to Roku services what so ever. Absolutely seemless transition from our old TV that our toddler decided he did not like. Additionally, the picture and sound quality are excellent. The homescreen is entirely customizeable which is fantastic! There are themes available also, but I believe those are for purchase. I haven't attempted those yet though. Overall, worth the price by far. Will likely by another. The vendor shipped very quickly. Highly impressed. Our postal carriers are the real MVPs.Roku does not require a subscription. The browser set up is far more straight forward with opting out than signing up on the tv you have purchased. I highly recommend you sign up via browser before beginning set up of the TV.ALEXA SET UPAgain, this TV does not have alexa built in. You will need an echo, echo dot, etc for it. They are like $15-30 max.1. Once you have your echo set up on your phone click on the "home tab" then select "Browse skills"2. Click the magnifying class search button at the top and search for "roku"; select the app with the bubble that has "Roku" in purple text3. Click Enable to Use. A browser tab will open. Click "Accept and Continue"4. You'll need to sign into your Roku account if it doesn't automatically sign you in.5. It will find the TV you set up. Click "Link to Alexa App"6. It will ask you to autolink new Roku Devices. Select your preference.7. Click "continue to alexa app"8. It will say "your roku accont has been successfully linked". Click close.9. It will search for your TV and can take a few minutes. After that you are all set to begin using voice commands.10. On your TV sign in with your account info you just set up, it will give you a pin. Go back to your browser11. Enter the pin that was on the TV.12. Continue on through your preferences. You do not have to subscribe to channels or enter into a subscription. it will ask you to set up a payment, but you will not be charged anything at anytime unless you opt in.May the odds be ever in your favor. xx- Your friendly neighborhood IT person

Inexpensive and excellent television!
I didn't know exactly what a "Roku TV" was, and I had never heard of the Hisense brand. It was very inexpensive - around $240 - so I went for it. We are delighted! It works beautifully with our cable box and our DVD player, and it works as a Roku on its own, so you don't need an add-on. We can still use the cable remote to control it, too, which is amazing. Picture quality is great, sound is great.

Great picture tv.
Great picture with Roku built in for a fantastic price. It was easy to hook up and immediately connected to internet after putting in wifi code. The only inconvenience is that the remote is a little cheap and it has no numbers on it to key in station directory. You have to use the up and down buttons to get to the channel you want. Plus got a special deal for an echo dot if I bought the TV. I can turn tv. on and of and volume up and down but will not find channels.

Great value tv, could use a bigger remote with numbers
The best way to describe this tv is everything works well and yet it's very affordable. Setup was a breeze, it had no trouble connecting to wifi and setting up a Roku account (no $100 tv activation fee has some people have claimed). Configured local channels via an antenna, Netflix, Amazon Prime, and some sports video apps, everything worked fine.I don't have another tv in this price range to compare video quality. Obviously, it's not as nice as my much more expensive living room tv, but it's a perfectly viewable picture. It doesn't like low quality video, for instance watching an old movie had more pixelization and blockiness than usual, but all modern content has looked good. Our only complaint? No number buttons on the remote. My wife hates having to open the guide and scroll to a tv channel instead of just punching in the number she wants. Yes, she could install the app on her phone, but I don't think that be any faster by the time she grabbed her phone, logged in, launched the app, etc.

Love it!
I am not a big TV watcher, but I wanted to watch Netflix, Amazon, and YouTube on something other than my computer. This is perfect. It was super easy to set up. The longest part about setting up was just entering my username and passwords for each of my subscription services. It has been super easy to use, the volume level is great. Sometimes the subtitles can be a little confusing to figure out how to navigate, for instance I wanted to watch an Amazon movie with subtitles and I had to set it to closed captioning to read anything, and that was a little confusing, but not impossible. Basically, I am very happy with this.Yes, it's true as others have said, that the legs can be wobbly, but you have to screw them in completely and then it's quite stable. But it's hard to get the screws all the way in - hard but not impossible, and worth it once it's stable!

Buyer BEWARE OF POSSIBLE SCAM!!
Came delivered in great condition. Quality and all is great. BUT! Buyer beware of a possible scam. I Was having a bit of an issue setting the tv up with my cable service and noticed that there was a number on the tv to call for assistance. I called the number and spoken to a guy by the name of “James” no last name given. He kept telling me that I needed to send an invoice of $100 via email payment in order to have tv services through the Roku app. I explained to him that I already had cable services and that’s all I wanted. An hour goes by of us going back and forth about why I don’t need this $100 Roku plan he’s trying to convince me to buy. While having someone work with me to get the tv and cable going we finally got it up and running(minus sending over the $100 payment I told to send). Again, BUYER BEWARE. Don’t need fall for this scam and try you best to figure it out or cable your local came service. Whatever you do DO NOT call the “customer service” number that it comes with.
