Pool & Hot Tub Defoamer, 1 Gallon, Quickly Eliminate Foam in Pool or hot tubs.

I have used higher priced and this product is cheaper and smells better and clean fresh smell. Fast working . Other products gave me skin irritation . This product did not. Highly recommend this product

Works very well. Removes foam in a 33k gallon pool within a few minutes when put in the skimmer.Will definitely be using this product.

I love the amount of this product I received for the price. And it helps that it actually works extremely well.

I accidentally overdosed my 24' round above-ground chlorine-free (Baquacil) pool with algaecide causing thick foam to cover it for days. My local pool store sells a defoamer the store employee claims would only work in a spa, not a pool.I was happy my Amazon order for this product came in a day early. We had tried skimming off as much of foam as possible with a net, but as the pump ran, the foam would return almost as fast as we could dip. When I poured a few ounces of this product in my skimmer, like magic, the foam began to disappear. I could see it working as the defoamer entered the pool through the return jet. It was amazing! Like Moses parting the Red Sea! Within minutes the foam was gone--over the entire pool! A dose or two more in the last couple days has removed even the slightest hint of foam. I'm definitely keeping some of this on hand.

I've used several different defoamers purchased mostly from the spa/hot tub stores but also some online. The hot tub stores usually have quart bottles and are usually a bit more expensive than buying online but I'm finding there's a very good reason for that. Review first. This defoamer in a large container at this price seems cost effective and it does de-foam but it appears while this defoamer works and there is no foam at the surface of the water, the entire hot tub becomes cloudy (more so than is usual) when the jets are running. This doesn't happen with some other defoamers. There are a couple of side effects from this stuff, one being a film covering the surface of the water that can be felt if a hand is dipped in, and second, globs of a white compound are forming and floating across the surface. I suspect both are caused by the silicone emulsion of this defoamer. I've only used two applications from the container and won't use it again. This stuff is milky white out of the bottle while other defoamers have some color and are clear. I suspect there are several ways to chemically suppress the foam and I don't like this one. Now to figure a way to get rid of the chemical slick and flotsam without draining the spa.
