Durable and saves a lot of labour
I used this jig to drill over 5000 holes through 10mm thick mild steel. Although this is probably more heavy duty than this was designed for it handled it well. Build quality is decent and I couldn’t have asked for any more from it

Great drill stand for the diy’er !
Great little drill stand for the diy’er. Easy to assemble. When using it does seem a little unstable even after it was bolted down to a bench. But for the money it does the job I need.

Just too wobbly to use
The media could not be loaded. Yeah it was cheap. But that doesn't mean it has to be unfit for purpose, but in this case it does.Everything is a bit loose ( video ) , the instructions are really crap photos, where you can't even see what's going on! ( photo).Admittedly it does hold the drill well and it's does seem to go down straight, but jeez it drifts from side to side by 10mm...see photoWill have to bin it, as I got rid of the box too soon..!

Easy to use, once you know how, but with limitations
I needed to drill 36 holes to create yoga mat rails for a new studio. The instructions are sparse, but you can just about figure out how everything fits together from the blurry leaflet provided.NB I created a jig to drill my holes at an angle, but this jig doesn’t allow you to alter the angle of entry. The wobble in the setup is significant, however, with a fresh, sharp bit, there was very little play once the hole had been started. Most of the wobble comes from the drill guide screw, which can sometimes be tightened by unscrewing a turn and then tightening again with the handled pulled, with pressure, to the right. Then there’s no lateral movement whilst drilling either. This is good for one-off projects, but I would consider a dedicated drill press for anything more than a one-time use.

My Drill Didn't Fit
I bought this benchtop drill press stand as a replacement for a Piller drill which was stolen because I thought as I didn't use the drill very often this would be cheaper alternative. I was proved wrong. The drill press stand is very flimsy and would need some hefty clamping to keep it in place whilst using it, the base plate seems to small and flimsy. Once I got the stand assembled I tried to fit my corded black and decker drill but found that the opening on the drill press was too small and there was no way I could use it. As a result I've sent it back. Whether or not it didn't fit because it is keyless chuck on the drill I don't know, but if it the supplier should clearly state what size and type of drill will fit. I'll probably end up buying an actual Piller drill again because they are so much sturdier.

Dangerously weak.
Tried to put my drill in to test, literally first use, and the holder snapped. Imagine that happening during drilling. If it can't take the pressure of holding a drill it can't take the pressure of actually drilling.Maybe I got a defective one but I wouldn't want to take that risk.
