Very good value, worth the cost
This monocular costs more than many, but when I used it last night to look at Jupiter and to find its moons, I was pleasantly surprised. For objects like the moon or Jupiter, the higher power options make a big difference. Being able to spot the Galilean moons so close to the planet was very satisfying. And the 50mm objective lens really helps with astro targets. Just be aware that when looking for things in the sky, a photo tripod makes a world of difference -- the view is too shaky above 10-12 power. Have also found that Orion's Precision Slow Motion adapter helps immensely at higher powers. Finally, one caveat -- when looking for things near the zenith, monoculars really don't work well, the angle is just too awkward unless you can lie down and find a way to stabilize the monocular above you. That's when a telescope with diagonal or a reflecting telescope make a big difference. The biggest advantage of monoculars like these over basic astro scopes is their extreme portability. You can pack this in a jacket pocket, a pocket tripod in another pocket --- and you're virtually set. If you're going on a long hike somewhere, bringing one of these along is not hard to do.

10-30x50 High Powered Zoom Monocular
For the price this is very well built items. Its not perfect at 30x it suffers from significant chromatic aberration. If better Abbe Prism is used and Optics can be improved in updated versions of this product, it maybe a perfect monocular for its price.

I've very pleased with my purchase of the Eyeskey 10-30x50 Zoom Monocular
I've very pleased with my purchase of the Eyeskey 10-30x50 Zoom Monocular. I've been using it a few times per week for about a year. The 50mm lens lets in lots of light to see lots of detail, and the zoom really comes in handy. I was concerned that the 10x minimum magnification would be too much, but I haven't had a problem with locating what I want to see or stability. It's durable and has a nice balance. If you need to zoom, this is the monocular for you.

Very low quality
You get what you pay for. They were cheep and the zoom was here to focus.

Needs a tripod.
I could not hold it steady enough to see much. For the price it should have a tripod.

Ability to focus on ships out at the horizon
I’m impressed by this light weight monocular. I’m using it to see ships, sailboats and pleasure craft off of Muskegon Harbor. It resolves boats you can’t even see with your naked eye. Sailboat masts miles out that peak over the horizon seem to rise up out of the lake into full view.

Very powerful scope
Not sure the exact magnification of this scope, but it is plenty powerful for me to see the mountains behind my house. Much easier for me to focus than binoculars, which have always been a problem for me to get both sides lined up on my eyes.

Excellent optic, great for low light. Need a solid rest or tripod to use at 20-30x
First, the monocular itself earns a 4.5 star in my book. Very clear, crisp picture on the low end, and some loss of light transmission on the high end but not terrible. I actually used it on a hunt at twilight, and the low light quality was genuinely impressive at 10x. This is my new favorite hunting optic. It does weigh around a pound, and is 7 or 8 inches long, but it still fits in a cargo pocket comfortably and the weight is manageable for the capabilities it gives you. As far as the tripod...well its garbage, would probably be fine for spotting scope duty on a solid flat surface, but that's it. And I'm case you have read some of the lower reviews talking about the shake at the higher powers, those are individuals lacking in common sense. EVERY optic that is that high in magnification will have shake because YOU are shaking. The higher the magnification, the more this is emphasized in the image. Personally, I plan to get one of the flexible claw type tripods to use with this optic. I think it's versitile will compliment the eyeskey nicely.
