I’ve been looking for an alternative to a ball, which hamsters apparently dislike quite a lot. This is perfect for my little hammy, Bean. It rests flush with the ground so he can’t escape underneath, and the bars are close enough together that he doesn’t try to get through. He’s really enjoying having a bit of freedom as a new activity and I purchased a second fence to give him even more room.It’s definitely too low for a guinea pig or a rat, but great for hamsters.

The media could not be loaded. Hello! After reading some reviews, I wanted to do my own.Yes, this is a small pen. They do have the dimensions listed. No, it does not come with the bottom. I ordered that separately.People say it doesn't fit the bottom, but it does, you just sort of have to snap it into place.Unfortunately, Bella here figured out how to climb out quite quickly. She just had to stretch to reach the top horizontal section to pull herself up.After doing research I found that almost all of these small animal play pens are roughly the same height. I personally don't think they will work for any pet bigger than a hamster unless you add the top cover too.Bella chewed through the pop up play pen we had in an instant so the wire is really nice for that.I'm not really docking stars because I knew the dimensions before purchasing. I just have a determined hamster. I feel like the quality is just fine.

when i got my 1st guinea pig 6 years i did what every owner does and i got a tiny small cage not having any knowledge about guinea pigs. I learned very quickly how bad it is and just straight up common sense that those little cages they sell at pet stores are too small for these animals. If all they did was eat and walk 3 feet in either direction they would get fat/lazy very easily. Its the equivalent of a human being living in a small bathroom with barely any room to excercise or get air or anything.To make sure my guinea pigs had freedom i bought multiple of these playpens and i daisy changed them together to make thier house. so they basically own the living room at this point. Lots of room to move around and freedom. They are very happy and other than when i first got my guinea they never jump over the playpen because its too tall for them. This keeps them from going places where they shouldnt around the house such as near wires or anything. I've always felt they were safe in these. I did notice after a few years they got some rust (not sure if thats the right term) but it may have been due to the carpet getting wet (by where they drink water) but by this point i just ordered more since at the time they were so cheap around $10 or so. so these lasted several years before i had to buy more. not bad for a $30-40 investment. well worth the buy.

I combed through the listing trying to figure out if the mat was included but it doesn’t say anywhere that it’s sold separately, yet most of the listing photos include the mat. It is not included. This isn’t very sturdy for a guinea pig as they can climb out. Make sure to supervise your animals in this one.

This is the perfect size for our tortoise to have playtime inside or outside. It comes already put together and is easily stored

I was expecting to have to put all the pieces together but they were already connected which was nice. My hamster enjoys the time running around in the playpen. I would definitely make sure you keep an eye on them because my hamster is able to escape. I’m happy with my purchase and would recommend.
