Took a chance with a Chinese part but it arrived incredibly quick (literally within a few hours) and after looking it over, appeared to be a very nice part. The connector for the plug in my vehicle's wiring harness was a little skewed off center in the aluminum housing which meant I had to modify my vehicles plug a bit to get it in (a little dremel work) but from everything I read on different blogs that is a common issue so I was prepared and knew why the plug would not seat properly. It puts out 14.3 volts just like I expected and runs nice and quiet. The offcenter connector is the only reason I am not giving it 5 stars.

I was a bit concerned reading some of the other reviews, but this went in with no problem. Plug inserted perfectly. I measure about 14.3V at the battery right after a start. Getting plenty of current to supply lights & blower fan w/ no issue. 30 days and still working fine. Can't be beat for the price!

The fit was perfect on 96 Geo Tracker 1.6l. Original was too snug of a fit and was difficult to remove, but this went in just fine (with a few skinned knuckles for that bolt in the back, not the alternators fault). The Batt light is now off and no dead batteries so far. Been driving for only a week, but so far it's been great. No funny noise from bearings. Shipping was fast and waaaay cheaper than local parts. Looks like it really is brand new, not a rebuild. Thanks!

First, this alternator DID NOT require a core charge. This was crucial due to the fact that my Suzuki Sidekick was purchased half taken apart and without an alternator at all. The alternator was received well packed and in excellent condition. Upon installation in my 1995 Suzuki Sidekick, it communicated with the charging system properly and has worked excellently on the over 1,000 miles I have put on it. From the quality construction and OEM fit for the alternator I expect it to last many years to come.

We were very happy with this item. It was exactly what we needed and as stated in the description.
