Q: Are you able to advise how this product should be used, as not very informative on the bottle

It wasn’t clear to me either. But then I realised the front label can be stripped open and more detailed instructions are on it. This spray is supposed to be applied after you’ve finished using the bbq. Essentially, once you’ve scrubbed the grills after using them and (optionally) washed them. It’s the last item to apply and to just let be.

Q: Can this be used to protect cast iron decor from rust such as handles for a long period of time?

From what I can see in the description of this product "With regular use, it helps to maintain the cast iron and make it more resistant to corrosion.". Please only use this product for the adequate products, and follow all the recommendations and safety measures.

This spray is not to clean the bbq. This is eatable spray so the food does not stick on the cast iron. So you will use this product before you put your food on the bbq.
