Easy to Install
Great addition - easy to assemble and install

Easy to assemble, works just fine.
I'm very happy with this door but let me start off with the Cons:1. Like others have experienced, a small part was not included in the sealed bag of screws and latch parts. For me it was the latch part than goes on the wall. I don't need it but I notified the company anyway. They give their phone number and email address on the instruction sheet. I suggest you immediately compare the parts you receive to the pictured parts list of what should be there.2. The 1.5" wide rubber seal/bug strip that runs down the length of the non-latch side of the door frame was curled up against the door frame member from being tightly packaged so it didn't quite reach the glass of the sliding door. No biggie, I laid it out flat on a work bench and blasted it with a heat gun and now it's fine. That's it, no more ConsThe door assembled quickly and even putting the screen in was easy with two people - one to keep some mild tension on the screen to reduce "billowing" in the center. The spring-loaded, expandable roller bars at top and bottom are very clever. This will make perfect sense when you do it. Install them but do not tighten them. Compress them both when you situate the door on the sliding door tracks and then let the springs re-expand them into position and you've got a perfect fit. Then tighten the screws to lock it it. These expandable roller bars are what give the door a 6 inch range of sliding door frames they will work with. This is not a heavyweight door and it was only $90 so that's the context in which to evaluate it.

Door delivered in parts and almost impossible to return
This door arrived after two weeks, packed in a large cylinder. It requires full assembly from basic parts, which is time-consuming, risky, and demands significant skill. If even one small part is missing, the door becomes unusable and difficult to dispose of due to its size. In contrast, a fully assembled screen door at Home Depot is available at the same price, ready to use immediately—no two-week wait, no assembly required, and easy to return for a full refund. Returning this door, essentially just a collection of parts, is nearly impossible because the return postage is almost as expensive as the door itself. It seems that most of the cost you pay for this door goes to the shipping of its parts, not for the door (parts) itself.

Installed in Less Than 2 hours!
The KD Heavy Duty Screen Door Kit has a nice sturdy Frame -- better than my original Screen Door Frame. Many of the old fiberglass screens in my house have failed over the years, so I was not impressed that the Kit came with a fiberglass screen. I went to my local big box store and bought a roll of premium screen and compatible spline. I threw out the screen and spline that came with the Kit. If you have never re-screened a Patio Door (or at least a few windows) then I think this Kit is probably NOT for you. It only took me 2 hours to assemble Frame, install Screen, and finally install completed Door and locking latch. If you do this kind of work (re-screening) frequently or even occasionally, then this Kit probably is a good choice for you.

Good for customizing height, but requires some extra adjusting to work just right
I needed a tall door and not many to be found without paying custom. This door was fairly easy to assemble and does require planning when it comes to fitting the screen into the frame. I used painter's blue tape to hold the screen pinning it down in multiple areas before I began to insert the rubber beading securing the screen. The tools they provide are fine -- I found the slot tool got the bead into position and then the rounded tool worked best if I angled it as I ran it along the bead trough. Keep checking the screen is not being pulled away or shifted as you do this process around the periphery. Cut the excess and you are done. I wish the beading was on the inside of the screen instead of the outside. I had to drill some custom holes on the bottom because the door was too tight for my door fitting and would catch. When I modified the holes so it didn't push as hard on the screen door tracks it all worked fine and opened and closed well -- I like that the wheels are metal and not plastic and I think that will make this door work for a longer number of years without the wheels cracking and breaking which happened to our old door with nylon wheels.

Had to return it
This door comes unassembled, although my boyfriend found it easy to put together. It took him about an hour. After it was assembled, we realized it wouldn't work with our patio. Our old patio door slides and this one doesn't seem to fit the same way. We ended up donating it to Habitat for Humanity.

Good screen….but!
It was great product but the only thing is they should include a magnetic Philips head because it was a bitch to get the screws in the holes. I ended up finally using some double sided tape to get the job done.

So-So. Decent quality but huge pain to assemble
Difficult assembly, directions were not very easy to understand. Eventually able to put it together with help of videos other buyers uploaded. Wish we had bought something pre-assembled instead, this took a lot of time and brain power to figure out. Material quality seems decent, it fits with our 80” x 36“ glass door
