Works as should, just not in vehicles.
This product is fabulous for its intended purposes. It is strong and pretty durable. However, for the use in a car it is not so great. Since its purposes is not vehicle application, it is not working out so great for me. Another reviewer said they used a stopper to make it work great on their headrest, but I can say from the experience of trying a rubber stopper, it did not work. It still drooped and sagged terribly. I am only trying to mount a 24" tv. So, no thanks given. I have to use a bungee cord in conjunction just to keep it held up in a useful position if I try to use it in the vehicle which I will not actually be doing with this mount. Just tried out of curiousity. I do have a place to use it for its intended purpose and it does work beautifully at my desk.I love that it can be manipulated in many directions and is very sturdy when mounted to a properly sized stable post. I would not hesitate to buy this again if I needed one, but this one looks like it will last forever. However, I am using a different type of mount for the tv in my vehicle now. Happy mounting!

Works great
I mounted this to a metal shelf for garadge tv. This allows me to swivle the tv out of the way when not in use. Also lets me use the tv for music with out blocking the shelves.

Works great, with excellent customer support from "Mount-It"
I wanted to mount a TV to the outside of my RV but I didnt want to drill any holes or permanantly mount a bracket. I purchased this mount thinking I could install it on the ladder post at the rear of the RV. It really worked great. When watching TV, I can swing the TV out to either the side or the back of my RV and when not in use, it folds up out of the way and doesn't obstruct the use of the ladder. The only downside is bought this item in "Like New" condition from Amazon to save $10 and it was missing a bunch of parts. I was able to salvage most all the parts that I needed from what was there except for the screw knob that attaches the articulating arm to the VESA plate. I contacted the manufacturer "Mount-It" and once they verified my purchase, they sent me the replacement part at no cost. WOW! That's some excellent customer service! Buy with confidence knowing you are getting a great product that has equally great customer service from the manufacturer.

Good mount for an EZ-up Canopy
I use this to mount my TV to a leg of my ABCCanopy tent while tailgating. I was worried about it fitting around the square leg of the tent, but it works well. It’s a little bit of a pain to work with an Allen wrench to put it up and and take it down, but it’s a solid clamp and solid screws, so worth the extra effort knowing that it’s secure and won’t deflect or fall apart. I’ve only used it for a fairly light 32” TV, so can’t vouch for it supporting more than that.

Prefect for a outdoor tv setup
I made a outdoor tv setup and needed a mount. It swivels nice. Clamped on with no issues. The tv installs with no problem and fit great. It hold the tv study even in the wind and can be adjusted if needed.

Car headrest TV mount
This works well as a headrest mount for my car, a Chevrolet Suburban. It's not perfect, but it's the least bad solution I found.Taking inspiration from the other reviewer, I mounted this using a 1 5/8" black rubber stopper from Home Depot.I drilled a 1/2" hole into my 1 5/8" rubber stopper, and then cut a slit into the stopper from one edge into the newly drilled center hole. I also cut another slit a few millimeters over so that I could remove a small pie piece wedge. The idea was to make the stopper easier to fit onto the headrest mount -- not sure if it was a good idea or bad idea. I then installed the stopper onto the headrest (wider side down) -- it wasn't a perfect fit, but once I got the mount brackets over it, it held sturdily enough that I could tighten it down. To tighten down fully I used a 6mm hex bit attached to my drill/driver. I did not need to use any of the extension parts that the pole mount ships with.Things I learned:Do NOT use a neoprene stopper. They are very difficult to drill into / cut into, and compress too much such that the headrest would sag.Using a drill/driver with a 6mm hex bit makes this much easier to install. I only had imperial hex bits, so I bought the Tekton metric hex set available on Amazon. This will easily hold a 24" TV (specifically an ONN). You could probably do bigger, but even 24" feels plenty large in a Suburban. The arm on this mount is not long enough to perfectly center, but it's close enough.
