Great rabbit manual, highly recommend!
This is great for a quick reference! I am enjoying using it as a supplement to my curriculum in vet school, as we don't often discuss rabbits. There are many useful pictures in this book and it is very well written. My professor recommended this book to me as the best clinical textbook on rabbits out there, and she is a board certified and extremely respected veterinarian at UC Davis SVM, so I certainly trust her!

Absolutely great general medicine/biology of rabbits book. Writen at college level, aka not just a "stupid person" book. Biology major and its right at my level.

Great Supplement to Varga's Text
A great book and fantastic supplement to Varga's "Textbook of Rabbit Medicine."It's unfortunate that Amazon doesn't show a preview or the TOC for this book. From the publisher's website, there is both a downloadable example chapter as well as the TOC:Biology, anatomy and physiology; Husbandry; Nutrition and feeding; Reproduction; Normal behaviour and behaviour problems; The rabbit-friendly practice; Physical examination and clinical techniques; General nursing care and hospital management; Clinical pathology; Analgesia, sedation and anaesthesia; Respiratory disease; Digestive system disease; Urogenital system and reproductive disease; Cardiovascular disease; Nervous system and musculoskeletal disorders; Ophthalmology; Dermatoses; Neoplasia; Endocrine disease; Problems of the geriatric rabbit; Therapeutics; Approach to common conditions; Appendices; Index.I'm always hesitant when it comes to softcover (text)books, but this is a high quality, well-made softcover with great color photos that won't disappoint. In fact, I was so pleased with this book, I ordered its companion book, "BSAVA Manual of Rabbit Surgery, Dentistry and Imaging," the following day!

Beyond the basic's it's a veterinary manual
I've read a allot of excellent rabbit books but felt I was still lacking information to make informed decisions when talking with Veterinarians about treatments for my rabbits. Where I live, there aren't many rabbit savoy vets. This book will not make you a rabbit doctor but is precisely what I needed to go from the basic "if this happens, see the vet" to holding a knowledgeable conversation and being a partner with the vet about the best course of treatment when my rabbits get sick. This is full of graphic pictures and recommendations of treatment drugs and how to diagnose issues, as you'd expect for a veterinary manual.
