IGNITION PROGRAM: (1). Insert good old programmed key. (2). Press and release gas pedal 5 times. (3). Press/release brake pedal 6 times. (4) Remove key from ignition (5) Insert NEW key into ignition. Do not turn. (6) Press and release gas pedal one time, (7) Wait about a minute security light should stop erratic blinking but may still blink. (8) to finish programming step on brake one time. (9) If all went well when you turn the key engine should start. PART 2 REMOTE Switches: (1) Unlock driver door, leave open. (2) stick key in then out ignition (3)close then open door, close then open door (4) stick key in ignition then pull out (5) close/open/close/open door. (6) stick key in ignition leave in (7) close door (8) turn ignition on, then turn it back off (9) simultaneously press lock and unlock buttons on keyfob for five seconds) (10) Press unlock or lock button, it should be almost programmed/working . (11) Open door, close it, then make sure remote lock and unlock and trunk button works. Your programmed! NOTE: The keyfob is considerably weaker in send distance than factory Lexus but it works fine within 6 feet or so of car.

Key accepts programing for the remote & immobilizer. But remote functions reliably only when sitting inside of car. As soon as you exit the car and close door, it'll only work 10% of the time. Wasted $25 to cut key. 1 star only because it'll start the car.

Worked as I understood it would. This key is a replacement for older and newer Lexus keys. Unlock/ lock/ truck, will most likely not work if you have a older model but original equipment key is no longer produced so I'm happy to have a spare key that works as a spare.

Works perfect! The dealer wanted $350 for a key and to program it. I got the key cut from the dealer and programmed it myself after watching a YouTube video. You must have an original key to do this though.

I actually bought this only for the chip inside and paired it with a key fob case. I had both my original keys and fobs, but one fob was completely destroyed (previous owner crazy glued).I took my original key plate and instered it in a new key fob replacement shell ($10) along with the chip from this Key Fob (buying a $10 fob case was way cheaper than cutting the key on this case).I was then able to program the transponder chip so that my key would start the car by using instruction I found online. I have a WORKING original key which allowed me to program at home in my driveway.Unfortunately, i havent yet found instructions that make the remote buttons work. I will update once I DO find instructions that work.3/5, will update to 5/5 if I can get the buttons to program. Case, BTW, looks pretty good. Not not as good as the original, but good enough for $25 and likely to last a few years.Will probably be a few weeks before I try to reprogram.For those of you that dont know, simply getting a key cut will not allow you to start a Lexus. Lexus keys have a transponder chip inside the plastic casing that only allow a car to start if the chip is near the ignition. A key that is cut by a hardware store is useless without the chip inside the key fob. That was the most important part and it worked. The OTHER problem is that your key remote buttons (Door unlock, lock, trunk unlock,panic) wont work unless the remote is progammed as well. This was not as important to me as I can always use the physical key to unlock the doobrs. Hopefully I'll be able to get that programmed. Car is 2002 Lexus ES300
