Our two rocking chairs had been moved to the family room downstairs. We were just blessed with a new granddaughter so wanted a rocker upstairs and based on the reviews and the price range we gave this one a try. It's a very nice rocker, roomy, sturdy and comfortable. (The cushions in the photo did not come with the rocker. It's actually fairly comfortable without them but cushions are nice,)Assembly is simple but not really easy. I'll explain. I tried to assemble the rocker by myself and found that it was difficult to hold some of the pieces in place while lining up the bolts. So I had my wife help me and then everything went together fairly easily. If you separate all of the bolts, nuts, and washers and follow the directions carefully it goes rather smoothly. Only one tool is required, an Allen wrench that is included, but it's helpful if you also have a flat-bladed screwdriver on hand.I only have one very minor complaint. The screws are all recessed but there are no plugs to hide the screw heads so the screws on the outsides of the legs are visible. It's not a big deal because they are recessed, so not really all that noticeable, and I didn't deduct a star because of it but plugs would be nice. Otherwise, the chair looks great.Overall, it's a very nice chair and we can't wait to rock our new granddaughter in it.

Needed a new rocking chair for the youngest grandchild. Looked everywhere for one in a store. Finally took a chance on this chair, and surprised with the good quality for the price. Chair arrived in excellent condition, and was fairly easy to put together. Very happy with the purchase.

What caught my eye about this first and foremost was the price. I wanted something for my nursery that I could use often, looked nice, and that wasn't upholstered (due to baby spit ups). This rocking chair is awesome! It was easy to assemble and comes with everything necessary to put it together (allen wrench, bolts, washers, spacers, etc). Directions were super easy to follow!My only struggle was the final bolt which was slightly misaligned from the hole. As a mechanical engineer with familiarity in bolting standards, I loosened the other 5 bolts, but still found that I was unable to place the final 6th bolt onto the base. I just left it off as 2 bolts per side (4 total) probably would be sufficient from a structural standpoint.I was nervous about scratches on the wood floors so I also bought some long felt strips that I applied to the bottom of the rocking rails.Bottom line: This is a must have for your nursery not only if you don't want to spend a ton of money on furniture, but purely because it's a great looking rocking chair and is super sturdy!

I like the chair, bought it for nursery and also bought some cushions here on Amazon.The back of the seating part was scraped, but I ended up keeping it since it's not directly visible!Assembly was easy! As you see in pic, it's Dachshund Approved lol

Easy to assemble, sturdy, comfortable

The media could not be loaded. My antique rocking chair I was gifted fell apart with me in it! I needed a new rocking chair and I wanted one similar to my antique one. Apparently no one sells traditional rocking chairs in stores any more and I was hesitant to buy this but I’m so glad I did. I rock my baby every time when I feed him and at night. It’s sturdy and pretty. It’s quite heavy for me. I’m 5’5” 140lbs and it’s hard for me to pick it up and move it room to room like I did with my old one

The item was delivered on a Sunday , three days earlier than it was supposed to be. Very surprised and happy about that. Read the instructions then organize and lay out everything according to the order of assembly. Separate the hardware and remember to put the lock washer on bolts nearest the head before putting on the flat washer or the bolts won't lock down properly. Snug all bolts and then tighten securely after all bolts are installed. When attaching the runners to the bottom of seat you may need to have something to support and help hold the chair upright or get someone to support and hold the chair upright for you. The chair is comfortable (I am 6'1'' and 215 lbs.) and have no problem sitting or rocking in it. I did lay a cushion in the seat for a little added comfort, but it's not necessary. My first rocker ever (73 yrs. old) and I would definitely recommend it to anyone who wants a wooden rocking chair that rocks as good as it looks. Last but not least, the price was great also.

This is a very pretty chair and I was looking forward to having it in my room. I found the instructions hard to follow. Honestly I am a senior and not all used to assembling furniture and I was lucky my Brother walked me through the instructions and gave me tips on putting it together. I couldn't have gotten this together properly without his assistance. I find the chair very stiff and uncomfortable to sit in. I am about 5'5" in height but my Sister who is 6' tall and she found the chair to be more comfortable. After a few days let me add that when I sit in this chair I can't sit back in it enough and I feel like I am sitting with a ramrod straight back...good for posture but not comfortable for rocking and reading in a chair. My brother thinks this chair is made for a child and not an adult.
