Bilstein24185523 Shock Absorber

We bought a used 4inch lifted 99 F-150 a few years ago and with it all the improper parts installed on it. The search for replacemnt shocks began. A short model year truck meant a tiny list of front 4 inch lifted replacement shocks. I have these new B8 5100s on one side and new 6x adjustables on the other side and the B8 is way quieter over anything I could run over in the road with both left and right sides of the truck evenly for comparison. The damping is properly tuned to the extra weight of offroad tire/rim. It took much more effort to compress this and shift it into the truck. The bumpstop relocation bracket is still in place on the bilstein side of the truck (its moved on the other side). Super happy to know the truck doesn't have to bear the moniker "Ratchet and Clank" for ever as I will be ordering full front/rear 5100 matching replacements.

Made a world of difference on my 2” lifted F150! I still feel the bumps (it’s an old, heavy truck, after all), but they are definitely lessened by about 80% compared to the previously spine and teeth jarring magnitude I was experiencing before.

This was supposed to fit my 2001 Ford Excursion RWD but it does not. I contacted Bilstein directly and was told that it would fit my Excursion only if it had a 4" lift on it. Why would anyone put a 4" lift on a RWD Excursion?! I'm sure these shocks are great but I wouldn't know because I can't install them on my vehicle. This product should not have been listed as fitting my vehicle.

Doesn't fit. It said it did, but way to long. And of corse I didn't get to put them on right away and missed the deadline to return.

broke on first trip after install. The weld completely snapped off. Called but no refund. Save your money not worth it.
