Just lovely
I got this for my 19mo-old son, and we read through it in so much detail, looking at all the pictures and animals and what is happening... When I said it was time to say good night to the book, he held it to his chest and said "bed!". I let him take it to bed and left the hallway light on for him so he could look at it a little longer. For another 15 minutes we heard "Airpane. Uh oh! Mouse. Airpane. Tree. Oh no!" on the monitor. It's now a week later and it's still his absolute favorite and still goes to bed with him.

A must have for any child
This is hands down one of the best children's books ever written. I bought it for my own three year old daughter and have given it as a gift to all my nephews and nieces. It is hilarious, well illustrated, and has one of the best story lines of all time. It has a great moral message about friendships and making mistakes. I've read this book countless times to my kids and it never gets old. It is a must have for any child's library.

A gem for any home library !
We just got this book in the mail today based purely on the fact that it got some many five star reviews and it was the medal winner.I opened the book on my own to make sure it was age apporaite for my 3 and half year old son -- I ended up laughing out loud !This book is simple, whimsy, clever and about friendship. The art draws the reader in and makes very excellent use of the page.Today alone we've read the book three times!

Great buy
I'm a Speech-Language Pathologist who uses books extensively in my therapy sessions. This is one of my favorite children's books to use with students. It's great for making inferences, talking about feelings, the sequence of events, and making up our own lines for the wordless pages. It has a sweet story line that all of my students love.

Wonderful and beautiful!
Wonderful story for our grandchildren and the pictures are just beautiful and full of life! A book that is similar to Good Night Moon, a book to read over and over again, discover and discover all its complexities

Great Book For Baby Signing
This great book with excellent illustrations was a favorite for both of my boys. We did Baby Sign Language from birth and my friend rabbit is a fun book for teaching and reinforcing the animal signs. Before my son could speak from about about 16 months on he would tell this story in sign language, explaining how the animals would stack, it was a lot of fun! I recommend the "Signing Times" DVD called "Zoo Train" and "Great Outdoor" which teaches you the animal signs you can use with the book.

Not sure what all the fuss is about
My young students loved the cover, but didn't find the story very interesting. The piling up of the animals is oddly off-putting and though the message is a good one, it didn't resonate for my kiddos.
