Color Selection Value
Quality paints in beautifully vivid colors, is the basis for many of my watercolors. The brightness of the hues, is impressive.

Good set, do buy an additional yellow
I am a beginner and am enjoying these high quality paints. As is often recommended for a starter watercolor set, there is a warm and cool blue, a warm and cool red, and burnt sienna. There's also a nice purple. There are a couple of yellowish colors which I use less frequently. I don't ever use the black or white. I had to add a plain yellow to be able to mix colors. Since there are colors I won't use, and it's missing the yellow, I am not sure whether this set saves money. However, it's so overwhelming as a beginner to choose colors to buy, that I appreciated having them selected for me. If I were to do it again, I might start with a Daniel Smith Extra Fine Essentials set and add colors from there.
